Interesting to see how TV ratings end up going against Cotton Bowl at exact same time.

I would think the Cotton Bowl will get more viewers unless Caleb Williams weren’t able to play. USC is a bigger story than LSU right now and Tulane is in a much better position than Purdue.

Ehhh, unless you're a network TV executive, who cares? I expect more people will tune in to watch the USC game. The Cotton Bowl is a better bowl, USC is in a bigger TV market, they have the Heisman winner, Purdue doesn't bring much to the table in terms of fans.

Not sure about that, both big fanbases though LSU has much more devoted and diehard fans, as the south generally does compared to an East or West Coast team, especially one in a city as attention deficient as LA.

LSU USC / Tulane Purdue would have been a better draw.

People will tune into the Cotton Bowl just to see if Tulane can knock off USC since Tulane is rarely in a big bowl game and is basically an unknown for casual football fans. LSU vs. Purdue is a pretty boring matchup. We just don't have any history with them.

Then why do they play in a half empty stadium?

Nobody is interested in a LSU/Purdue Citrus Bowl.

It's a bigger market that's diluted with other colleges in the region. UCLA being one of them. That being said. I'll respectfully disagree.

There's a very good chance this may very well be a blow out in USC's favor. That being said. I've heated USC since the AP gave them the 2004 NC after they beat #4 Michigan and LSU beat #1 Oklahoma. Yeah I know it's not their fault that they were left out of the NC game, but frick them and their west coast bias. I'm surfing the green wave on this one!
