I filled it out in support of Henderson. I agree that Tate would be a horrible choice long term but if he is the hire I could see LSU spinning the hire as a solution to the Title IX issues we face. I think that would be a short sighted hire but it would not surprise me at all esp. since you know Sloth will have some input.

But somehow you think someone apparently liking sports according to his Twitter profile is something that should be taken into consideration.

I mentioned it because this is a sports board and there’s an assumption that most administrators are hostile to an athletic department.

Except there isnt. People are capable of case but case consideration. And I’m sure you would’ve Aldo seen Alexander at most of LSU’s football games.

There is an assumption though that a “critical race scholar” would hate the vast majority of current students, faculty, and alumni. But you don’t think politics should be considered

I’ve heard they really like Tate a lot

You knew this shite was going to happen when Tate showed up in the list of 8 after not being listed as a candidate in the initial release.

I don’t think that’s true either

I don’t think someone should be dismissed from consideration from any job solely based on their politics, no. For all the hang wringing the right does I would have thought that would be a popular sentiment

David Duke would be dismissed from consideration for this job without any real objection from anyone, correct?

There’s a pretty easy distinction to make between disagreeing on what the minimum wage should be, and making decisions and policies about entire groups of people based solely on the color of their skin.

As someone that likes to think of himself as intelligent, I would think you’d be capable of recognizing a very simple nuance like that.

Just filled out two...a glowing review of Henderson and a scathing review of Tate compete with my very real threat to discontinue my donations to the alumni association and the university in general. Praying the right choice is made.

If they pick Tate, after the disaster that was F King, then the people making the selection are complete clueless fricks.

They would be doubling down on the mistake they made with Alexander.

No, he believes math education is inequitable (or at least he did 25 years ago).

Agree, hopefully they go with Henderson but agree to take another white person’s name off a building to appease the woke on the search committee.

Lockett was a general in confederate army so he’s a natural to be cancelled to keep the peace and eliminate crime on campus.

The chairman of the committee is a race baiting lawyer that puts Esq. in his name.

We’re fricked.

Just hope Jay Dardenne’s name doesn’t come up , too deep in corrupt Louisiana politics.

Ripped Tate a new one, and made sure to note that I would never donate to LSU if that is the choice. Make them know that the alumni base will hit them in the pocketbook if Tate is chosen.

Donations aren’t the only power that we have, let it be known that we will also demand our state representatives yank funding. I’ve been doing that since they started with the woke bullshite.
