Where is Bordelon? Could he slide in and play guard? Dude has been with the program for a while.

Is Echols the 4th guy that we have tried at LG?

With Fall Camp now in full swing, LSU head coach Brian Kelly has been focused on his offensive line. In particular, he recently explained that he is focused on seeing development to the team’s depth at that unit.

“Some of it is because we’re trying to develop depth along the offensive line,” Brian Kelly said. “It’s not necessarily the starters. It might be an Ory Williams, might be a Carius Curne, a Brett Bordelon at the center position. So, my eyes go towards those guys that maybe we don’t watch as much. Because everybody’s got their eyes on the starters. I can watch them on film, very rarely do we get the opportunity to evaluate those younger players in a technical standpoint.

“I try to keep an eye on the depth and the guys that we’re gonna need,” Kelly said. “In case we have some injuries. So, my focus is primarily on each drill, the next guy in. What is he doing?"

You are supposed to shuffle lineups in camp lol you have to know the combo you’re going with if any 1 of the 5 get hurt idiots

Exactly but I don't think some realize this & they assume that trying different players & different lineups means that lineman haven't already solidified their starting roles. This isn't that case at all.

Had a source tell me that BK chewed Sloan's arse today in front of everyone. Basically sick of JS getting too cute on goal line with Jujuan Johnson and sweeps with Zavion Thomas.

I have no problem with this. Saben would do the same thing.

It looks like that is the only weakness on this team.

Curne needs to get a shot. It can't hurt. BK even said he was physically ready.
This. If he's one of the 2 best guards on the team. Youth be damned. Sometimes you get those special players like a certain OT playing for the Patriots now. If Curne moves bodies at guard, leave him there. You can always try next season at tackle.

They said at the beginning of camp that it was a 4 way battle at OG. Thompson, Chester, Mubenga, & Echols. Seems like they may be getting Curne ready to fill in at any position.

I was never impressed by Mubenga, not strong enough to hold up, I’d think Curne would beat him out
