So hard to predict the conference this year. Ole Miss feels low.

I agree, being #12 in the "playoff" doesn't really do it for me. More like 5 for me.

Seeing Texas rated higher than LSU leads me to believe the whole thing is a joke. Only certainty is Georgia and Vanderbilt.

I started to believe my dad when he said Saban sold his soul to the devil.
what the hell does that even mean?

Saban is the best college football coach in history. He did great here, won us a NC, and set us on a great path.

He dominated at Bama for well over a decade. If he'd have stayed at LSU, we'd have had Bama's level of success.

Ole Miss might get their "dream season" with all the offensive talent, but I also feel like they'll screw it up somehow.

It will be like Tamu’s dream season with manziel. Except now when they peak under expectations, that transfer portal is going to get active.

think Texas, Bama, and Ole Miss are all being overrated a bit. I don't think there is much separation between those 3 teams and LSU.

Same. Milroe is still a shite QB. Texas is gonna have much better competition. No idea what to think about ole miss.

I'll eat crow. Thought LSU would be much lower (8-10

Why would they ve lower?

All the teams behind them are worse.

You could make a case for Missouri or Tennessee but that's it.

0 reason to have Bama over Ole Miss. DeBust is vastly overrated

Deboer can coach
The sooner you realize that the better off you will be.

Bama isn't going anywhere.

Anything less than 10 wins with the offensive line that LSU has returning would be a disappointment. 4/5 returning, all with 2 years of starting experience under their belts.

Just ran through the bios. The combination of Jones, Frazier, Dellinger, and Campbell have a combined 99 starts (at LSU) under their belts. Chester is brand new, but I think the coaches have a lot of confidence in him. Plus, the extra 2 inches and 20 lbs that Chester has over Turner should help stop the up the middle pressure that we saw at times last year

Yeah, lsu has one of the top of lines in the nation.

Now do the defense. O line and d line are the most important position groups in college besides qb.

Have you taken a look at the d line? What about corner and safety?

Lsu needs everything to go right on defense to go 10-2

yep, our defense will unfortunately cost us some games this year.

Anyone not acknowledging this has P&G blinders on.

Yes, I realize we have a new defensive coaching staff. Yes, I think that's a big upgrade and should help.

But talent on the field is lacking, especially on the DL and defensive backfield.

They had a massive portal class that they will rely a ton on. That could work out or blow up. We'll see.

But they are the most talented Ole Miss team most of our lifetimes.

Preseason polls are usually a shot in the dark but that's especially true for this new SEC. We have no idea what to expect from Texas and OU. You figure bama is going to be good but how good? The stars seem aligned for Ole Miss but I'll believe it when I see it.

There's no telling what this top 7 is going to look like by years end. LSU at 5 seems reasonable though. The SEC has always been a meat grinder but good god on a golf cart, this is going to be brutal. So many good teams and only one clear cut, dominate team in UGA.

We better play ball control, because our defensive line is questionable.
