Just thought that they would want as many home games as possible.

Except for last year when he opened up against Virginia Tech

I think Boise has proven that Tech is a perfect schedule-boosting opponent for all

Damn good road trips:

- Morgantown/Pitt
- Dallas
- Tuscaloosa
- Oxford
- Knoxville

Everything but Starkvegas is great!

nah, a perfect schedule booster would do something silly like suspend their entire defense for the first couple of games and then go on to win their conference

oh wait

No one can complain about adding this game.
Kudos athletic dept for making it happen.
This will be a great game and great exposure.

I have nothing but praise for the athletic dept for kicking up the OOC schedule.

Anyone have any idea as to when tickets might first become available to the general public? I would like to buy mine now.

why? This game at Dallas will make more money for LSU than playing a cupcake at home. Also, it will provide more national exposure, and more exposure to recruits in the Dallas area.

The downside is that the local BR merchants lose out on the home game revenue.

I definitely agree with the recruiting angle....this can only help in that regard

Couldn't there be a middle ground? A home and home with a BCS level team with a home game in 2011 and road game in 2012 makes a lot of sense.

Its like a preseason bowl game. Love the whole deal. it can only help your program, playing cupcakes does nothing.

Ideally, you push the WVU game back to another season, and schedule another home game in its place...but that might not be feasible at this time.

I would take Oregon in Dallas over Cupcake U in Baton Rouge to start the year in a heartbeat...

And I lose a home game to attend, and I know damn well that they are not going to discount my parking pass to account for the lost game.

this does beg the question...will the tradition fund and parking pass fees be lowered to account for one less home game?
