A good game plan will get you a win though. That's my point.

I never said it wouldn't. I said we shouldn't pass to make the fans happy. I don't want my coach concerned with the happiness of people in the stands. people that have no idea the strengths and weaknesses of the players in practice. I want my coach concerned with winning.

that's what sent our previous coach to the stands watching as a fa

well he tried something new in the Wisky in 2016 and imo coat us to lose by getting behind. he tried getting Harris involved early and it led to us getting behind.

You can do this and put on a show for the fans. Of course that isn't the main priority and it's the last thing they plan for but it's great to do, and they do want to do it. Perfect scenario is to win the game decisively, without injury, while getting good game reps for everyone, and winning. If you do all that it will likely be in dominating fashion.

I'm not arguing this. I'm arguing that the coaches gameplans should never be built with the fans in mind. it should be built to win, not put on a show. if you can do both, great.

Yes, in football. Yes, Saban cares most for the fans. This is WHY he puts in the work he does, while Les Miles is crapping his pants.

It is why coach O will do very well here. He also has the fans in mind in wanting to bring LSU back to the top of college football where we have always belonged.

LSU Offense - continue to build confidence with fans

The one thing the Miles era did for me was make me not care how the game was played, as long as it results in victory.

I have no standards now. And anyone else who needs to have confidence built is a fool.

Fans grow a pair and enjoy the 13 to 15 games a year you get.

you have no fricking clue what you're talking about. he doesn't even care about his players. he reportedly stepped over a convulsing player once.

educate yourself

I don't give a shite about the run game tomorrow. Everybody in the country knows we can effectively run the ball 9 out of 12 games a year. The question will always be about those 2 or 3 games we need to lean on the Quarterback in order to win the game.

Let Etling get at least 25 passing attempts tomorrow.

Well LSU can and should do both especially against this team. I promise you these coaches want to put on a show while they beat up on the opposition. No you don't pass to keep the fans happy that's rediculous. You pass to beat the opponent. Winning the game is always priority. But ask any coach if he would like to do that while looking good doing it and he would say yes. No it doesn't always work out that way. Last week was the first game against a respectable opponent so I don't blame them for keeping things safe. IMO they can't keep doing that though, they need to be much more creative and that's what wins you ball games. You don't have to get cute either that's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm saying you can run PA on first down from the 6 yard line instead of running the ball. Works much better on first down then it does on 3rd down from the 6 yard line. You can also use Guice as a decoy more. Get their eyes off of him and then give him the ball. Maybe that's the plan later and they want to save it but I just don't see that point in saving it. It would be effective no matter what.

You can also tell Etling to throw the ball up to our big athletes even if they seem to be covered. Throw the ball where the TE or WR can only get it or be fouled if they try to defend it. Teach these guys how to box out the defender, so that he has to go through you to get to the ball. Let the TE or WR know that the ball will be coming in this area of you are covered, so they are aware. There are things we can work on against anyone. Let's do that.

so that's why they threw the ball 18 times out 70+ plays last week?
where was this want for a show last week?
the coaches don't give a frick about a show. they want to execute and win.

now if the execution puts on a show then fine

maybe we are arguing semantics. I agree they can be more aggressive in play calling but I wouldn't call that," wanting to put on a show".

I also don't agree that passing against Chattanooga will prove we can pass in sec play.

I want Etling to throw 3 touchdowns to WRs. Preferably to 3 different WRs, running 3 different routes, but I'll settle for 3 total.

I want to see all of the starters resting in the second half. Les always seemed to have the starting oline in at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
