Foles went to Michigan state out of HS not AZ

Agreed. Perrilloux being removed from the team was like a car losing a wheel on a mountain road.

I read that in Spanish for some reason

LSU recruited him and he and my kids threw the football at a tailgate

Two years ago I saw/heard him speak at Cornerstone church here in Arizona. What an impression he left on me. This guy is strong in so many senses of the word. I'm a fan of his.

Welp, this fantasy ride ends in 2 weeks.

I didn’t write he went to Arizona out of high school, I wrote that Nick went on to set records at Arizona, which is true. I thought that was faster than giving his entire college career.
Nick was at Michigan State and left there because the culture was too different for him and they brought in Kirk Cousins who was a highly rated recruit. Nick’s dad has restaurants in Arizona and it was a place he had been to a lot growing up.
Nick also had an offer to play qb at Ole Miss.

Lol, what a dick. I almost didn’t post anything at all as I knew some would say something snarky.
The Foles are great family friends. Of course I am proud of how Nick is doing and how he has been good friends with me and my kids.

Miles only had good QB play from people he didn’t recruit, is what you’re saying.

LSU should have offered him, but look at the bright side, if he had gone to LSU under Miles, his career would have been destroyed as he would never have been developed. Really glad it worked out for him.

Star ratings have there place, I suppose, but definitely not the only thing that should be considered. If that is the case Johny Unitas(NFL ICON) would have had 0 stars. Now, Nick will be a Super Bowl QB. Congrats to him.

Here's the version by the actual songwriter (Bob Dylan). Much better, IMHO.

You in the restaurant business with his dad?
They just opened a burger joint in Nashville.

BS! Jamarcus Russell came here under Saban and it was Jimbo Fisher who developed and made Russell the QB he was and not Miles, as Miles and Fisher were often at each other’s throats as Miles was obviously trying to tie him and his offense up. Not to mention, that Fisher was also a holdover from the Saban era.
quote:
He won a BCS title with Flynn running a potent offense.
Again, Fisher made Flynn the QB he was and not Miles. Crowton came in and initially the offense was potent, but it became less and less potent as the season progressed as more and more of Les Miles’ influence was being injected into the offense as time went on.
Moreover, that Natty was a miracle because we should never have been in that game, to begin with, except for a miracle.
Then by the next season in 2008, Les Mile’s influence on the offense had destroyed the offense and, at the same time, killed Crowton’s reputation.
quote:
He envisioned Ryan Perilloux running an offense that likely would have looked a lot like later read and shoot spread attacks, with a premier DT QB pulling the trigger. We'd have probably looked like Clemson.
You should bottle up whatever the frick you are smoking and sell it. You’d get rich. And wipe all that brown stuff off your nose before you gross us all out with that horrible sickening stench emanating from your nose.
quote:
Perilloux flamed out, and because he was such a stud, we didn't have anyone else ready to start after he left (he scared off the other prospects).
He flamed out because he didn’t have any respect for Miles as a leader. It was kind of hard to because Miles has to be if not the most, one of the most inarticulate head coaches to ever grace the industry.
Furthermore, there was no excuse for not having another QB ready to go after Perriloux was kicked off the team, especially given his history.
quote:
Lee had talent but didn't know how to read defenses at all. JJ was raw as shite and was still going to be redshirted, and may be moved to safety or something.
Because of Miles influence on the offense, LSU was completely incapable of developing either one of them. Let’s be truthful, Miles’ record speaks for itself.
quote:
With Mett, again he opened the offense up.
We got Mett, not because of Miles, but because Mett wanted back in the SEC. Then after a mediocre junior season, Mett had an excellent fluke uncharacteristic final season with the best receiver duo in the history of college football and one of the best running backs LSU had had in a long time.
One of the things about Mett in his final season that I recall is he often changed the play when he didn’t like the play called by Cameron and scored a lot of touchdowns because of it.
Mett more than anything or anyone else did his own thing and had a great senior season because of it and despite Les Miles and his coaching staff, as he didn’t let anyone or anything hold him back like he did in his junior season.
Meanwhile, I don’t blame him, as he also didn’t have anything to lose and everything to gain. Besides what was Miles going to do to him, bench him? Yeah right.
quote:
TL,DR: if Miles had the right QB, he'd have taken the training wheels off the offense. Foles would have been like Flynn here.
Yeah right. For years while Miles was here the best QBs avoided LSU like the plague because most but not all of them understood that if they ended up here under Miles’ tutelage, that it would be the end of the line for their careers because they never would be developed. As Miles' bad reputation for destroying QBs and for piss poor offenses preceded itself for years.
Like I said, whatever the frick you are smoking, you ought to bottle it up and sell it. You’d get fricking rich.

Yes over the years I have been in many deals with Nicks dad, not in operations sthough.
The burger deal is hopdoddys, very popular in Austin. The original hopdoddys there has a line outside all the time to get in.
Hopdoddys is one of the ones I am not in, wish I was. Most of their places are more high end.

Yeah hopdoddys is the one.
Line around the damn building so I won’t ever go
