It’s gonna be Jay Johnson. O’Connor, Vitello and Corbin aren’t interested. LSU is not having the pick of the litter as we think we deserve. For some reason LSU doesn’t want McDonnell.

Both would do well here and McDonnel is more proven because he’s coached longer, but Vitello’s ceiling is astronomical. Hell, it’s possible he could fizzle out. He may sign his extension with Tennessee and put outstanding teams on the field every year. The top 3 SEC East coaches are some gamers. Corbin, O’Sullivan, Vitello

I think it would more plausible that there is a coach in Omaha we want to talk too but have not and everyone else is on hold till we have that conversation. The target may be an assistant.

I’d love Johnson. HE would be the HR hire, not Vitello. Imagine the kids we’d have come through lsu… he’s put like 20 kids in the show already in just 2 years at Ariz…. Dude was able to sell San freaking Diego enough somehow to get a no. 1 class 2 years in a row; just imagine what he’d be able to pull with LSU’s brand.

While none of us know anything….I am as sure a birth control that this is not happening.
For those that think that if it were McDonnell it would have happened already…you don’t think that the LSU AD is doing the right thing in talking to other coaches? Some that are still competing? Patience…..

Because he doesn’t have nearly enough experience as a head coach to take over a program like LSU.
