How is Godwin above Johnson and Vitello? He's accomplished less than both of them.
At best he's in the same group. And I think all 3 could do well here.

Godwin feels like a higher risk than anyone, to me.
-Didn't build his program.
-Never won a Super.
-Plays in a little league Mickey Mouse conference.
-Mediocre at best player development.
And people expect the guy to win at a job like LSU/Ol Piss?

So naive. Could be a 30 minute conversation -
“hey are you interested in a premier baseball school with pedigree that’s willing to pay out the wazoo or you want to stay T-here?”
Could be talking to an agent or an actor for him like family.
But be honest with yourself—if Scott Woodward from LSU says can someone from your team give me a few minutes to talk the LSU baseball job a young Vitello looking to increase his name recognition responds “YES.” You know this already otherwise you wouldn’t be on a LSU board while your team is playing in the CWS, lol.

THIS, there is no better job in college ball than LSU.
If anyone truly believes that any coach in the sport wouldn't AT LEAST listen to a pitch by Woodward, then they don't know dick about baseball.
