Been saying the same thing lol. Multiple people in the know with the boosters know how pissed they are right now. Lmao, the boosters who liked Jimbo swore he would take the job. They were wrong and people don't want their names associated with this.

I think what he's saying is FSU made a counter offer and now for LSU to surpass their first offer we need the money from Les' buyout to make it happen. Therefore, he needs to retire so we don't have to pay the buyout.

That's all I can figure out. It's amazing all these insiders suddenly popped up tonight with their sources.

Here comes the next wave of "insiders" trying to seize the opportunity for some TD.com fame.

Are we still doing sources?

My new ones say it's either Chip Kelly or they tell Miles "Ha, ha...just kidding. We really had you going, right?"

And I mean that they will tell him that exact quote.

Well, I really hope that's not the case because for the last couple of weeks people kept saying that the money guys decided money was not a barrier.

For 6 mil a year we get Tom Herman or Chip Kelly. If Jimbo doesn't want in then we will.move on to the next. Not worried.

Alleva showed his hand and now has no ability to negotiate.

No I think I understand exactly what's going on here based on this OP post...

FSU countered, Jimmy picked up the phone and told LSU "Whatcha think about that, can you raise your number for Jimmy to come, I have to ask, just doing my job?

And LSU is like "We had a deal already, so no we aint' playing money games now, you gave us your word already"

Sexton is like "Well I am obligated to let you know FSU countered and Jimbo is think hard over it"

Meanwhile Miles is hanging out to dry but hasn't been fired officially

so unless Jimbo agrees to the prior agreement, Les Miles won't be fired

Thus, it' aint a deal of any kind unless Miles quits...

Which does two things

It gives LSU a bunch of money it didn't have prior

and it forces LSU to find a coach regardless (because MIles quit), so you might as well give Jimbo his money because he is in fact your first choice.

6 million is getting ridiculous. 1 million more than he makes now..

7 million is stupid money..reserved for those that have won 3 titles or more. Or Jim H....

Does Bill freakin Bellichick make that much money?

Wow!

These developments suck really really bad...IF TRUE!

I was afraid Alleva would lose badly and thus LSU loses really badly.

if this happened, how can it be said that Sexton has no enemies.. I call BS
