Based on what bunchie?

There is no precedent for this at lsu.

Lance Heard.

Its a new era buddy. LSU hasn't had recruits like this in this new era which is still unfolding.

Things are going to get even worse with unlimited transfers now.

Every program is going to get hit with this a lot, but teams in broke States like LSU are going to get hit even worse.

The Ole Miss game is a perfect example that if BK and staff don’t start matching the defensive side of recruiting with the offensive side, it won’t matter how good our offense is.

People bring up NIL at positions we don’t have effective recruiters. We are recruiting wonderfully on the offense. NIL is a piece but to say it’s the only factor is ignorant.

Our recruiting woes on defense have far more to do with our staff.

First of all, all reports regarding Heard have been pure conjecture.

But if guy isn’t going to start at LSU until Y3, he should go and play somewhere else. I love him as a prospect but you can’t sit here and complain about the state of LSU when they are in this position of having two OT’s blocking him(the best OT prospect to come into lsu in 25yrs) from playing time.

Yes, an era where lsu will have ZERO issue attracting QB/RB/WR

Z-E-R-O

A more present concern is being able to put forth a turnkey offensive philosophy that will have lsu where they need to be every year. Personnel is not ever going to be the problem

Sure glad you know the minds of 17 year old males for the next couple of years with millions of NIL money floating

Billy Embody literally talked to Heard on the phone and said he's contemplating his future at LSU.

We only have 1 so far. Why do you people automatically assume we get everyone we want. This is why people screenshot our shite and put us on twitter to look like retards. Just wait until it’s done before you start sunshine pumping

.

Or change their commitment on the day before signing day because someone else offered them a significantly higher NIL deal.

Bump this thread when that happens.

I'll be excited if one or all enroll at LSU. And even then, it could only be for one season.

I really don’t understand how this means that a player won’t leave after one year. Players will leave. This is a fact. Even if we sign underwood out of highschool, he can up and leave and will have huge bags thrown at him. Explain to me how you can incentivize a 17 or 18 year old kid to stick with a commitment when everyone tells him he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread and are offering big money. Does this mean that Kelly is prioritizing NIL for just the kids we sign out of high school? We can sign whoever we want but if they don’t prioritize their own development and a quarter of the class is gone after two years, which is when they should start seeing significant playing time usually, it doesn’t matter what our class ranking is. Classes can’t truly be ranked until a couple years after they are signed. Looks great tho. Fans love recruiting. Just not sure I see the solution and it’s not just an LSU problem.

Edit- I didn’t read the follow up posts. Looks like everyone already understands the quandary. Sorry for the redundant post.

An upvote for the #1 position player in those 3 but a downvote for telling me to stop whining about NIL. It is ruining CFB.

That’s part of the problem. They’d rather win fake recruiting trophies than understand actual roster construction.

They will carry this recruiting shite for 2-3 years into a players college career & it is just an unhealthy way to consume football. It is not real.
