Will Wade needs to exhaust any remaining timeouts if we're up by 10 with 2 seconds left.

So we lose our first game in the SECt and we're a six seed and if we win the SECt and we're a six seed. These prognostications are weird to me.

SEC Tournament really doesn't matter all that much for seeding purposes

Did they add in the FU LSU factor? If we should be 6th we will be 7th at best more likely 8th

If we are projected a 5 or 6 then the committee will give us a 7 or 8 for the WW factor

Michigan.

Great opportunity for BK to have Baby Dellinger (Garrett's brother) in for the game and get a committment from him. (Great OL prospect)

why don't we just wait to see where we land. All this guessing is exhausting.

It's the same shite they do with mock drafts in the NFL, it's a fricking waste of time

It's even more of a waste of time this year because LSU is going to fold like a lawn chair in the tournament

I absolutely think that came into play last year. Do I believe they got together on the side and said let's do this....no I don't, but the WW hate and villainization has been so prevalent the last two years it has seeped in to the minds, sub-consciously or whatever - hell you had Dick allowed to air a 2-minute slander piece against LSU smack dab in the middle of the SEC Tournament Final last year.

If you think that doesn't come into play in the minds of all those AD's in that room making the decisions IMHO you are not being realistic. That's why all the metrics nerds had us 6 or 7 and we ended up an 8. We absolutely should have been a 6 last year, 7 o.k. not where we should be but understandable...8....no way.

It's happened since the Dale days. He was screaming at the NCAA, calling them all kinds of names, and they nailed his arse in the end for doing what all the big schools do (along with screwing him on seeding REPEATEDLY). Wade falls under suspicion due to the recordings, rinse and repeat.

If I offered you a thousand bucks to show me an NCAA tournament where we got BUMPED UP a seed or two, or find a 3 headed dog, you better go get your dog whistle and start looking.

As I said earlier in this thread, the only one I could think of was the one year Johnny Jones got in we got a 9 seed and I was legit worried we would not even get in, several projections did not have us in that year - we closed the season with two terrible losses that put us on the bubble.

I mean they closed that season by beating a top 25 Arkansas team on the road but yeah that Tennessee loss the game before was pitiful. They were playing pretty good at that point otherwise

Definitely were a bubble team that year and got a fortunate seeding

127/129 brackets on bracketmatrix have us between a 5-7 seed. Almost all of them have us as a 6 seed.

If we lose first round of SECt, we get shafted a lot and a 7 seed isn’t going to surprise me.

I predict we get revenge and beat Arkansas in the SECt QF and solidify a 6 seed. We’ll have an outside shot at a 5 seed but I don’t see that happening unless we beat Auburn in the SECt SF.

Many brackets had LSU as a 6 or 7 last season BEFORE the SEC Tournament (though there were some 8's as well). LSU then beat a near top 50 team on a neutral court (Ole Miss) and a top 25 team (Arkansas) who would go on to get a 3 seed. LSU was a missed putback away from beating eventual #2 seed Alabama in the SECT Final. What did that work in Nashville get them? A lower seed than many expected them to get BEFORE they played a game in the SECT.

The committee showed last season the conference tournament for at-large teams such as LSU meant absolutely nothing. Maybe they change their position this year. But until it actually happens, I wouldn't count on it.

I would hold off on claiming the conference tournament doesn’t impact seeding. Last year was the first time I can remember it being that way. No guarantee it works out that way again
