It's obvious to me that LSU still lacks a premier QB. Jefferson is a decent QB, but not an elite one......actually not even close. I know I'll get the "he's only 19 excuse" from the Jefferson faithful, but let's be honest with ourselves - he ain't got it. Jefferson has not progressed one bit since the start of the seasson. He is late on his initial reads and holds on to the ball too long. LSU got lucky on that first TD pass....as both players were open from jump street, but Jefferson did not pull the trigger till the last second. Luckily, it didn't hurt the Tigers.

We won't discuss Lee since he is worse than Jefferson.

Unfortunately, Jefferson will get the nod until he graduates as long as Miles is coach. I can't think of any circumstance (other than injury) that Miles would sit Jefferson over another talented QB. Hell, we've played 10 games and Shepard has yet to throw a pass!!!! But that's a whole other topic....

Don't leave out the head coach.

obviously, you put no merit in offensive line play because with an improved o-line we're having a whole different "what if?" discussion

I hope Chris Garrett or Zach Lee can be the answer. Because the other guys on the roster are not it.

This means it can't all be Crowtons fault.

Joe Montana would struggle behind this offensive line.
If the line isn't better next year, LSU will still have a bad offense.

Disagree. No he's not "elite" but he's progressing.

I think until we have a new offensive scheme/coordinator it wouldn't really matter who the quarterback is. I also think the way we call plays currently will make it very hard to recruit a premier QB. What makes QB's good is the ability to take a called play and then be able to read the defense on their own and audible. We don't allow that, and what potential NFL quarterback is going to want to be a part of a team that won't develop that key ability.

I think Jefferson has lots of potential, but I don't know if Crowton will develop it.

Because if you can't laugh at the struggles we have had with Lee at quarterback, you will most certainly be crying. That's why.

The offensive line has not been outstanding, but more than half of the sacks Jefferson took this year was HIS fault. He's too tentative and can't seem to pull the trigger on pass plays.

The sack at the end of the Ole Miss game was on him. It was a "quick hitter" type play, yet he tries to extend the play with his feet and takes a game changing sack. He hasn't progressed from the opener to today....

you're not even watching the games if you can't see Jefferson has gotten better this season.

he's the 4th best QB in the SEC, as a 19year old true Sophomore

Unlike Jimbo, Crowton does not develop quarterbacks. If he stays I do not see Jefferson making great strides.

No f'n way.

the OL play has been well below par...especially in the pass protection area.

I can agree that the offensive coordinator can be the culprit.....as both Jefferson and Lee have disappointed thus far as Tigers. Crowton should be fired.

Can anyone on the boards really say you have confidence in Jefferson to lead this team on a game winning drive to score a TD (as Mallet did)??? No freakin' way.

I have a feeling that it won't matter who we have behind center.....this coaching staff has done little to improve the play with anyone.
