LSU is a good QB COACH away from being great. There is 0 player development at the QB position. Crowton has no frickin clue on how to accomplish this task. If you will notice that we make the same mistakes over and over. If he is not replaced he will frick up Russel Sheppard and the next guy as well.

There's very little to be satisfied with when a team loaded with 4 and 5 star talent has to squeak out a win against a perennial average to below average program. You do realize that even a team like UF, with it's 2 national championships and a 3rd on the way, continues to critically assess it's weaknesses, don't you? That's all that's happening here. It's what fans who are heavily, emotionally invested in the team do.

I guess some of us aren't as willing to accept mediocrity as others.

It's obvious to me that LSU still lacks a premier QB. Jefferson is a decent QB, but not an elite one...

Might you tell us the "premier QB" who led us to our national titles this decade?

As to JJ, I'll take 18 TDs, a 63% completion rate, no quick 6 pics, and a handful ints from my "19" yr old QB facing his 1st SEC season and be ok with it.

You do know he is the 4th rated QB in the SEC Passing Efficiency wise and the youngest by far of the 3 rated above him, don't you?

Does he need to improve...yes. Will he improve with time...I don't know for sure as I can't see the future, btw, neither can you, but I would think so.

You do know that our team, results wise, improved this year from last year under his direction...right? I mean, 5-3 in the SEC and perhaps a New Year Day bowl game is not a chopped liver football type meal.

offensive line or not, the guy can't get rid of the ball fast enough....i don't know what some of you are looking at but everyone else in the country can see jefferson is not a good starting qb in the sec...he is slow on reads, he can't sit in the pocket, and one look and he is running...this guy will not take us anywhere beyond third place in the sec...

How much more time do we give him to progress? He will be a jr. next year.

very true. And he won't be on any pre season All Conf. lists. He'll still be chasing his first 300 yd game.

It should be obvious to anybody who knows anything about football that the biggest problem on this team is the offensive line, not quarterback.

Jefferson has not progressed one bit since the start of the seasson. He is late on his initial reads and holds on to the ball too long. LSU got lucky on that first TD pass....as both players were open from jump street, but Jefferson did not pull the trigger till the last second. Luckily, it didn't hurt the Tigers.

Obviously, you wrote him off "from jump street".

The kid is improving, even the announcers noticed it last night.

With a complete season under his belt and other offensive problems that aren't in his control.

Two weeks in a row that Jefferson made the plays when it was needed in the last minute. We did bone up the Ole Miss one but look where he hit Tolliver on that pass...beautiful

I'd say the worst part of our game is our D-Line, not our QB.

About a year has passed, and my thoughts are the same.....LSU is a good QB away from being great.

Feel sorry for our talented corps of WR's.
