The offensive line is not only below average for the SEC, it's bottom of the SEC level

Offensive line is a unit that can get significantly better as the season progresses.

It remains to be seen whether or not this will happen, but it's too early to write them off entirely.

well, that's not happening before Auburn. And, to be honest, it's not like we have a bunch of talented players who are underperforming but that could reasonably improve with the light bulb coming on.

Who is the player that could step up and improve?

I'm not suggesting a particular player is going to magically become a stud as the season progresses. I'm saying it's not uncommon for offensive line play, as a whole unit, to improve significantly over the course of a season.

That's great. How long do we think it's going to take? I don't see a lot of gimme's in this stretch.

09/15/18 @ 7 Auburn
09/22/18 Louisiana Tech
09/29/18 Mississippi
10/06/18 @ Florida
10/13/18 3 Georgia
10/20/18 16 Mississippi St.
11/03/18 1 Alabama

How the frick should I know? Maybe they don't improve at all. But you don't need gimmes for it to happen. Last year, they started playing better during the Florida game and they really came together for Auburn and were pretty solid the rest of the year. Do you remember how shitty they were the first 4 games? I remember.

This happens routinely. The offensive line looks like crap to start the season and by the end of the year they're one of our best position groups.

The problem with this line can be seen in its individuals. This line isn't a "talented group that just needs to gel".

So, unless you can point to a plausible series of events that end with us replacing our RT, I just don't think we improve much.

Also, our C is still a question mark.

This OL isn't close to being good. It has a long way to go.

They (we) are upset over what’s coming you don’t. Let’s revisit this when we lose five or six games this year. Sorry you are too simple minded to understand.

I remember hearing the same thing last year. I told a friend of mine I was concerned we would lose to Miss St. He called me crazy and a Negatiger. I had no idea at the time we would lose to Troy.

Season rests on next week. Then the rants will either stop, or they’ll be calling for Coach Os job!

I’m gonna wait until Saturday to pass judgment on this team, but i can see why some are losing it. We all see the talent this team has, and know this Defense will be one of the greats. Mix that with the fact that everyone knows Aranda won’t be an assistant forever, so there may be cause for concern that this may be one of the last years we have a chance to be competitive. We will still get the hometown recruits, but we are seeing more and more in state studs go elsewhere because some kids want to compete for championships and not music city bowls. Just my two cents.

The rant melts down if anyone on the team has a loose stool and posts about it on social media.

The same Savannah State team that lost 52-0 to UAB? lol

I looked at Miami's stats for the game. Malik had 131 yards passing. another QB had 93. The two highest for any players in that game. Everybody scored but nobody had a great game.

It's just one instance, but Josh D moved over to LT in 12 and finished up strong. He held clowney in check when everyone thought we were doomed.

We lost faulk and Hurst quit the team. And lonergan was in and out of games all season due to back spasms. They held it together though.

you do know other people graduated from LSU as well right? And that it wasn't all cupcakes and fricking smoothies for most of us right?

Anyone still defending this charade is NOT an LSU fan no matter how much you "gave".

You can’t seriously be surprised? It’s the rant. That’s what they live for.
