What do y'all think? Excited? Upset? Do you feel more positive about Ensminger? Less positive? Right/wrong move?

I have zero faith in the offense until I see consistent results over the course of the majority of the season.

Hell yeah. I hope it’s a good as my first spread eagle!!

It's what I always wanted, but as usual with these things I'm gonna wait and see cause I've sure heard a lot of this shite since 05 and I've seen the same shite every year since.

the spread offense
Overused term that means nothing in college football today. We've run spread concepts the last couple years.

I'm not 100% convinced O knows what that is

Has anyone publicly said "we are installing the spread offense" or has O just said that they're gonna spread the ball around?
Posted on 3/28/18 at 4:35 pm to Laman1978
I'll believe it when I see it.

We have run spread concepts in the past sure but have we ever really run the spread? no. I want to see the QB spread the ball around for the first time in a long time, minus 2013, Lsu has the weapons but will the LSU QB be able to run it? that is the real question.

The way O describes the offense doesn’t comfort me.
The fact that we hired an OC and PHC who have been involved in 0 spread offenses also concerns me.
I have An optimistic streak that ensminger can pull it off, but I would Have rather just hired an OC who’s run a spread offense before.

At least they are trying something new. Can they make it work, who knows? I have my doubts. At least they are willing to try something modern.

LSU’s offensive strategy is starting to sound like an iPhone. Every time you look up something is getting installed or updated and it’s X% complete.

I don’t trust a word that comes out of O’s mouth, nor do I have any semblance of confidence in his “plans”...
Still so surreal that O as head coach is our reality...

we've run elements of the "spread" offense for several years. the absolute worse thing LSU can do is run an all out spread virtually every play, Baylor or texas tech style.
I doubt we could pull it off but if we significantly reduce our TOP we will not win the SEC title. history has proven that you have to be able to run the football to win titles.

Thinking that is more what is happening - not a true “spread”, but an expanded west cost is what it sounds like - the O haters will eat it up

Coach E was a pretty good play caller & did a great job as an interim with very little time to prepare - I am optimistic he will surprise many, especially the O haters

I hope they run a lot of motion and jet sweeps.
