I think LSU should update the font on the helmet. It's time. There should be consistency in branding across campus. It's dumb to have a different font on the helmet from the end zone.

I don't advocate changing the color schemes of the uniform from the traditional look at all. But the font on the helmet should be updated. There's nothing about the current font that suggests it's superior or that it's worthy of the level of sentimentality so many of you have for it.

Removing the center stripes from the helmet would cast more attention on the side decal you are talkin about.

I always thought that if they made a subtle change like removing the stripes in the center from the helmet and stripes from the side of the gold pants. It would be a better look.

Aren't Tigers supposed to have stripes?

See, looks better without the stripes in the center even though that's not the correct decal.

Not those regular stripes, brah. Most schools and Pro teams have had those stripes for a long time.

Does anyone know why they dont change the L S U on our helmets to the new LSU font? I wonder how it would look along with the new Tiger face?

because the helmets looks great, and we shouldn't be giving them reasons to frick them up

I am very over the Geaux font. Nothing interesting about it at all.

You are mistaken. Top 3 uniform in college football IMO. Leave it the motherfrick alone.

ETA about the changing of fonts across all areas of LSU...

Yes. Opinion. Just like yours, it doesn't matter. And you should feel bad for wanting to change one of the greatest uniforms in college football. Alternate uniforms? I'm all for it. Changing it for good? Nah

I said that in my first post if you had read it correctly. Keep traditional add some new modern looks.

Personally here are no current style that would go well for LSU.

There are the matte helmets, but honestly who want a matte yellow helmet? or a old helmet he haven't had since they were leather? We aren't notre dame.

Speaking of notre dame, who could go with the awful reflective rainbow, shiny gold they went with, and Oregon uses form time to time. But that is just awful.

Doesn't have to be a matte look, but that big white stripe with the slim purple stripes on either side look has been around a long time. Probably since football went to hard helmets. a lot of teams use that design. They can get rid of it or change the stripe pattern like Detriot did on the helmets to make it look better. UCLA looks fine without the stripes down the middle.

I actually just made this one. I essentially just recolored the recent Navy/Army game helmet and slapped on the old LSU logo, but I think it turned out pretty nice.

They went old school by making the shoulder stripes wrap around the the shoulder and this website almost crashed. Tiger fans wouldn't be able to handle a font change.
