Well this just isn't true

There is not a single other school in the SEC with that kind of advantage. With that kind of flagship status in a talent rich state.
UGA.
Georgia’s talent is good as texas, florida, California. UGA barely recruits outside of Georgia.
Louisiana is top 10 but still behind those states.

The per capita and talent rich state with no competition are just good soundbytes for broadcasters and pundits. As usual, context is important.
per capita is literal context. Lol

LSU has had 1 season in the last 12 better than 9 regular-season wins, and that was 2019.
Yeah, there will likely never be another period like 2003-2011 again. LSU is a good program, but it is far from elite despite elite potential. It simply hasn’t done anything remarkable in the playoff era except 2019.

Of course not, but Lousiana should honestly be a given at this point. Saban could pillage the state but hes doing TV.

Then why didn't he "pillage the state" in any of his 18 years at Alabama?

What, specifically, does Brian Kelly do that's "outdated"?

I've listened to Jimmy Johnson on several occasions just giggle when he talks about the LSU job.

He basically says that you only have to really coach about 2-3 games per year there because of the built in advantages (plus others) you describe.

He's stated LSU should NEVER win less than 10 games per year. I agree completely, and trust his opinion a helluva lot more than the armchair coaches we have on the rant.

Pound for pound and on a per capita basis Louisiana is definitely talent rich as far as football is concerned. But on a sheer number basis - there are quite a few states that are more (and a couple much more) talent rich.

We have become the NIL stepping stone, they sign with us first to get a bigger offer down the line.

2026 QB. If we're so rich in talent, why are we not pursuing any of the in-state QBs? I'll hang up in listen.

The frick are we doing dude? Why is this coach not beating these chumps like Ole Miss by 20?

Because ole miss uses the portal as well as anyone. Which is why those “chumps” have been competitive

Nobody is saying to only recruit in state doofus Some years you're going to have strong positions and other years other positions. Nobody is arguing that LA is deep at every position every year. But for the most part, it is a heavily talented state and the number of D1/NFL players from LA easily proves that. Especially when you compare per capita.

Dummy, me and other posters are debating about the title "most talent-rich states in the country".

No "in the country" to be seen.

Can’t beat em by 20 if we can’t score 20. Hopefully 2 pick 6 will help. We may have a shot at breaking the 20 mark then

Stopped reading here. This is dumb. Nobody is beating this #4 ranked Ole Miss team by 20

Considering Les Miles and Ed Orgeron did it, it may be that easy.

I think everyone is going to hold off final judgement until we lose two more games, but it's not looking good.

Can't wait to squeak by SCAR this week with another awful offensive performance and BK gets all sassy and says "everyone was trying to run me out of town a few weeks ago, what are they saying now?"

Of course our state has football talent. BUT, LSU cannot win anything with primarily (80% plus) Louisiana players. We NEED talented players from other places. UGA , Florida, Texas ,and Texas A&M COULD win titles with primarily players from their own states. LSU simply cannot do that.
