As a season ticket holder, you have to be kidding me. All you have do to realize what you said is so off base is, talk with anyone who was at game 1 of the 10rc series.

Wander your arse up there and sit! I used to sit in gold seats all the time yet never had a ticket for gold (especially 1994 through ‘98 when I was a student).

Uhhh they gave ushers that check tickets for the gold seats.

You think you can buy standing room only tickets the week of the game and go sit in a couple thousand dollar seats?

It’s got to be the concessions. We need faster soda and warmer nachos. …The little bags of pickled jalapeños - keep those please.

No one in Louisiana eats anything for days prior to a ballgame. They’re anxiously awaiting the Alec Box concession fare.

Don’t even get us started on Football. We starve for days waiting to get in to Tiger Stadium.

We’ll compare the next time a top five opponent and defending national champion comes here for a weekend.

The defending national champions are there every week LSU plays at home. So that shouldn't be a problem in terms of people attending.

Several fan bases in the SEC make LSU baseball fans look bad. It's not easy to hear but it is true.

This is a far overblown view, we generally only see big games on TV from these stadiums. Their meaningless games have the same attendance issues we do. What makes it look more apparent for our games is because you can't go sit in the yellow or purple sections without a tickets. In most other stadiums, you can go sit in the unoccupied seats behind home plate once the game has started, so the stadium looks fuller, even though it isn't.

I just wish people in the gold and purple section would sell/give their tickets when they can't go. I sit in the gold and have bought ticket from people around us, but most don't even bother selling their tickets when they can't go. When I can't go to games, I do my best to give them to friends who love the opportunity to sit in those seats.

You got to have a ticket to sit in a seat anywhere in the stands at State

Everywhere we play, those teams and fans show up to face a top 10 team and is a huge weekend for those fans. It’s not the same hype to fans when we play other teams. An unranked team coming to the box doesn’t bring the same hype as we do to other fan bases.

I don't know why this dude is being torn apart... point blank, it's shite that someone grabs season tickets at the prime spot in the box snd doesn't feel like showing up. Good on the clangas... good to see their big money fans actually make the game.... I too wish ours did

Showing up for the really big games is not that great. That's expected. It's more about showing up for any SEC game. OP isn't incorrect.

Except OP is using other teams’ attendance in “really big games” as a comparison.

If Mississippi State were coming to the Box as top 5 defending national champions, for SEC opening weekend, what do you think the crowd would look like?
