You know what? I went to all but one home MBB game this season and cheered our team. It was very frustrating though BETTER than they year before. I'll renew my season tickets again for next season but just could not force myself to go to an NIT game tonight.
That being said, I just cannot forget that we destroyed our own MBB program when it was not necessary. Firing WW was not the right move, IMO.
Maybe CMM will build a real program but he has NOT done that so far. I am skeptical but will be glad to admit I am wrong about McMahon.

Bring back Wade level success, personality, and fight will get lsu basketball fans excited. Don't you realize that lsu is not a basketball school. Poor to mediocre results will get corresponding fan support.

I love basketball and the Tigers. I want them to win every game. What I am is disgusted that I have had to watch so many bad seasons with no end in sight. McMahon should have only one more year to prove himself. It is all about bringing in good players. If he can't do that there is no chance he will have a better season next year. No excuses about it is only going to be his third season. North Texas coach was in his first season. The list is very long of college coaches who won in their first or second year.

None of those teams started out in the shape LSU’s program was in because the NCAA deliberately drug their feet for years before handing down a ruling. This will be McMahon’s first year recruiting without potential sanctions hanging over the program. Judge him after this coming year. If the team doesn’t show great improvement, hammer away. I’m a realist and will judge off next year’s team. All of those Wade fans sitting there pretending LSU wasn’t in the complete gutter with no scholarship players to start with are batshit crazy.
