This is a very true statement which I why I actually do have hope that, if this season goes as predicted, both O and Alleva will be out come 2019. That's something to hold on to.
this statement sums up this board
We know O is going to fail so fire him as fast as possible !
I think I need at least 6 games into his second season to even come close to a real understanding of CEO as my head coach.

According to a few posters , LSU should be a top 10 team because we had more yards in our Spring game than Alabama and Texas.

The fact that you and several other posters are making so much about one ESPN writers opinion in May is embarrassing.
I guess you missed Dennis Dodd's poll from yesterday questioning if he was going out on a limb by even ranking LSU. At #25 no less.
You're being willfully ignorant if you can't see that the perception of the program isn't great at the moment.

But but only the negatigers have low expectations.

People need to watch what they post, Saban is going to use it for recruiting.
No shite. If LSU doesn't watch out, Saban may build something at Bama and won't have to worry about what's going on at LSU anymore in recruiting.

6 games in this team very likely could be 3-3 or 4-2.
9 games in this team will be 4-5 or 3-6.

I don't look much into any preseason rankings. I feel rankings shouldn't even start until at least week 6

I don't think anyone will argue with that PT. What I hate even more is when people rank teams in the preseason based on the schedule. The teams should be ranked according to how good you think they are, nor where they're going to finish IMO.

Some people learn slower than others.

Looks about right after they saw our QB's dont seem to be anything special.

Now we’re not talented?
The excuses for Miles season after season could probably be counted on one hand. In just O's upcoming second full season, they could fill a second binder.

A lot of people in this thread say let’s wait until the first game before we melt, but they should realize that this is a statement of fact. Top ten rosters should in no way be unranked. The humidity must be the reason we can’t develop Qb’s

What makes you think we are that talented?
Im sure its been discussed at length in this thread but im not gonna read through it all. But yes, this guy is serious. Just another way for the O supporters to move the goal posts and make excuses for their Uncle Ed. They will blame Miles' recruiting etc and say O had no say in that, even though he was recruiting coordinator. They will say LSU has no QB thanks to Miles when Orgeron has now had 2 classes to find a decent option etc etc etc. Gonna be a loooooong season full of excuses comin from da bayou.

Facts. O is in for a brutal season, as are we all.
I think this team could miss a bowl this season if we don't see a competent QB emerge.

Optically that's dumb, and I believe most people agree with that. While emotions want O fired immediately, I think most people want a slim margin for error for the season. 9-4 or less and O should be fired. 10 wins with some good wins, and we can talk. 11 wins is the comfortable expectation.
That is a rational approach.
The way Ree and company talks, O has cause to stay even with 6 wins. That is scary and that's certainly what people are reacting against.

Yall need to chill and wait to see what happens during the season. So pessimistic its baffling.

It's that line of acceptance that leads directly to mediocrity.....or worse.
LSU has come to far to have it squandered through stupidity (both fans and AD). Thing is, the BOS are ultimately to blame. They let it all happen.
