To be fair, I’m think LSU probably is being a little generous here and JD is probably more like 6’3” 200.

There were concerns about his deep ball but he has absolutely obliterated that concern thru the first half of the season. We know he can run at an elite level and he is a very accurate passer. He is extremely tough and it appears he is a very strong leader of the team.

Is the big concern at the next level his ability to take the hits from NFL players?

Bryce Young is 5’10” 205-210. Didn’t realize JD had 5 inches on him and they’re basically the same weight

He definitely needs to bulk up some if he is going to survive at the next level.

His arm strength will be more of a hindrance, he’s athletic enough

Bryce Young is maybe 185. Whatever he weighed at the combine, he weighed that for exactly 1 day.

He’s gonna need to learn to slide if he’s gonna make it long term in the league.

He just has to rally learn how to be aggressive but still protect his body. So many times he is getting blasted when he’s thinking of cutting it back and should be going down.

If he is going to continue to be a runner, yes. We saw that last night.

well, it's been the concern for every running QB coming into the NFL since Randall Cunningham. So, yea -- it's the big concern. He either gets bigger and more durable, or he quits running so much, if he wants to play in the NFL.

Of course his size is a concern

Much bigger QBs get banged up running the ball in the nfl.

bullshite. His success will completely depend on whether he continues to improve reading defenses and his decision making ability.

And how is he looking in the NFL? Gets touched and instant sack and/or fumble. He is not the example anyone wants to use. JD is WAY tougher than him.

Nah. His weight isn't that much of an outlier.

And LSU doesn't fudge weight like they do heights. If they have him at 210, he's close to that.

These aren't height adjusted, but here are some combine weigh-ins for QBs

Seneca Wallace 196
Aaron Brooks 203
Dorian Thompson-Robinson 203
Russell Wilson 204
Bryce Young 204
Marc Bulger 208
Luke McCown 208
Case Keenum 208
Michael Vick 210
Tom Brady 211
Desmond Ridder 211
Brock Purdy 212
Drew Brees 213
Brad Smith 213
Trevor Lawrence 213
Kirk Cousins 214
Derek Carr 214
Teddy Bridgewater 214
CJ Stroud 214

He can’t take the hits he takes now at next level. He’ll live on IR

I hope he takes the Jalen Hurts Route and excels at the next level. With any luck, maybe can scoop him along with an offensive coordinator!

I agree. I don't know how accurate these published roster weights are.
