The Nicholls game looms large. That puts you 15-11 with a chance to make a run to end SEC play

Lets finish the NIT strong and have good feels ending the season so after WBB wins another NC, baseball too and football we can be positioned for a MBB NCAAT NC run 2024-2025 season.

only acceptable outcome. Signed, LSU negatigers

Not at all

The Dayton, Florida and Georgia losses are the killers. Not because they are "bad" losses. Because they were huge missed opportunities for good wins (Yes, beating UGA on the ROAD would have been a good win)

As of now. But there is an outside chance Mississippi St. could turn into one with them sitting at 36 in the NET. Downside is that ranking would go DOWN with an LSU win. So we need LSU to win....then MSU to finish strong to maybe make that a Q1 win.

Being a bubble team and making the NIT would be a win in year 2. I would be happy with that.

It would be a big win, but I don’t see Miss State turning into a Q1 win.

4 Q1 wins is quite the accomplishment for a team that started the year with a Q4 loss, but it’s misleading for OP to say we have 2nd most in SEC. (Despite the obvious fact that it’s not the 2nd most in SEC) gotta love getting downvotes for stating facts

Anyway you look at it - we’re something around 6th-8th in the SEC. Not sure why we need to act like we’re 2nd in anything

I wouldn't say not at all but not as big as the ones you mentioned plus the home loss to A&M.

Dayton and @Florida would have been Q1 wins. A&M and @Georgia would have been Q2 wins. Winning all of those would have put LSU at 18-8 (9-4) 6-5 Q1 wins, and 4-1 Q2 wins.

Anything that keeps us from playing on Wednesday in the SEC Tournament is an improvement from the pre-season predictions for this team.

NIT berth would be considered a very successful season , especially after the way we started.

The fact that we are even having this discussion in year 2 is a win.

The way I see it is asking for all those good wins puts you squarely in. But those are tough toss up games.

Which IMO is a big ask after last season.

A win vs Nicholls which should have been a given has you more on the bubble with a chance to get in down this stretch.

A really big ask, I was just doing a what if on those close losses.
