Honestly the entire football game day experience is pretty miserable.

Takes 20 minutes to get anything at the concession stand. Drunks are going every 5 min because they only let you buy 2 beers at a time.

Traffic is horrendous

Trashy folks have overtaken tailgating.


I have always said basketball games are far and away a more enjoyable experience.

this is a complete CROCK. ya know how i know you have never tailgated like me there? or been down every road around campus?

southeastt on nicholson is not a bad area, nor is going up burbank with all the student apartments, etc. nor is going north up gourrier. even outside the north gates on nicholson they have built nice condos etc and improved it greatly. places by the lake are very nice. going south on highland is a nice area.

The bad area you are using to generalize the whole area is outside the north gates on highland. all those streets with presidents names. and i will guess tigerland which is off nicholson.

FTR, nobody is saying there are no bad areas or crime in red stick, especially north baton rouge. i am only debunking your ridiculous claim of all areas surrounding LSU, the complete 360 degrees as "ghettos". shite like that is stated by someone who has never been on campus and left the campus all different directions for years.

The north side has always been sketchy. In mid to late 90’s the bigger problem was the vagrants that came down in the Winter and set up in the old Vicaro St squats.

I lived on State St. We routinely ventured North with our head on a swivel but managed to survive.

It stopped at the campus gates though. Now, not so much.

At least 4-5 times over the past two seasons I've seen TV cameras pan through the stands at other college games, and there's always people vaping at their seats. I'm gonna assume it's not a pumpkin spice vape.

I've seen it on both the SEC and Big Ten telecasts.

And then there are the miserably drunk fans who keep drinking throughout the game.

This is probably why people would rather stay home and watch on their 96-inch TV.
