Oregon State just made a trip to Omaha as an independent. Assuming we can keep the money rolling, the baseball team has the ability to operate on its own. Jay is a Cali guy I think he could barnstorm for a few seasons at least.

None of that is happening. Bama literally played an NBA player last year and did not even get a slap on the wrist, they can't suspend and fine LSU for "considering" it

There are numerous international pros on rosters all throughout the country...including in the SEC. And colleges having international pro players on their rosters is nothing new, at all. Hell, LSU alone had one on its roster just last season.

While I tend to agree about RJ, the international players are a whole different story. There are ~75 - 100 such players on college rosters. It's bad enough the SEC is enacting retroactive bullshite to stop 2 guys who never made an NFL roster from playing. It's quite another for the NCAA and SEC to try to retroactively undo something they have allowed for decades simply because, as usual, they lack the foresight to realize the NCAA basketball marketplace would become more lucrative than many international leagues.

If you want to invite an antitrust lawsuit with clear collusion and disparate treatment towards one specific school, THAT is how you do it.

I've posted multiple times about it. The reason the SEC is going so hard at LSU is because it, and the other conferences, think they have found the magic argument to stop litigation in the lawsuit the Big 12 filed against Sorsby this summer. They think it is an impenetrable "catch all" rather than something that may have had legs given the specific circumstances of the Sorsby issue. It is one thing to argue a conference should have the ability to enforce its rules prohibiting gambling, something that prior to the Sorsby case had never been allowed by the NCAA or had the NCAA/conference been enjoined from enforcing. It's quite another to argue the SEC should be allowed to enforce a rule it made up after the fact and has never uniformly enforced before. Even this year!

It would take about 5 seconds to point out the total hypocrisy and inconsistent application of the SEC's "new rule" amongst member schools.

Just about every single SEC baseball team has players on their rosters who were drafted in the MLB draft. Some have players who were drafted WHILE they were enrolled in college. Yet, there is no rule prohibiting any of them from playing.

Yet, you have a guy like Niang who was selected in the NBA draft, yet never played a single game for an NBA or even NCAA team.
