I’m ok with these games 3-4 times a decade, but media is going to scrutinize the cupcakes.

Grambling is probably the second most important football program in this state. Do your Googles.

Odd timing but I like it. Good fan bases. Very good bands.

Close. It’s the program a few miles away in Ruston.

Seeing as the Human Jukebox was playing Neck before the Golden Band from Tigerland. I believe they should come to Tiger Stadium and remind our band how the song is played.
Tiger Band's version sounds better, more polished.

I’m ok with giving both a payday with today’s climate of uncertainty with virus
Hopefully no injuries like one southern player had against uga

This is exactly what shouldn't be happening. I wish the FBS schools (or at least the Power 5 conferences) would come to a collective agreement to end these games. LSU should do an annual rotation of Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, and Tulane as our in-state rent-a-wins. There's no reason to ever play McNeese, Nicholls, Southern, Grambling, Southeastern, etc.
I agree, we don’t need to play down. We need to play teams at our level and even then some just don’t come close to stacking up.

You can’t ONLY play P5 teams. This ain’t Ncaa 14 where you can schedule nothing but blue bloods non conference.
1 - P5 (Current top tier or historic team with large brand only) Texas/ND/USC fall under the later.
1 - G5
1 - FCS (preferably a Louisiana team)
1 - of your choice. Either low tier P5 or another G5.

Southern’s version of neck is horrible. Sounds like a train wreck.

We should just play Southern and Grambling the same day. Let them get the teams together and make a best of the best team

There are plenty of teams that aren’t power 5 at our level.
We don’t need to play FCS teams especially weak ones like Southern. Southern isn’t an average FCS school.
I know it’s a feel good story, but it’s really not a competitive match up and is just a money grab.

As someone associated with Southern, I appreciate that LSU is willing to give us some exposure and $$$ by playing this game. I will definitely be in attendance to support my Jaguars but as always will otherwise cheer on LSU vs their opponents as well.
Great for Baton Rouge all around, IMO.
