Bought a couple RV passes in 412 this year and want to make sure we can use them.

We'll be in lot 412 this season too. They kicked the RVs out of lot 407 by the vet school. Hopefully the atmosphere in 412 is still good with them putting you so far out.

I love that the lakes correspond to the colors of the public restrooms. Thanks for sharing. I will certainly follow this map.

Parking should require a game ticket. That is all.

parking? Or a parking pass? Because a parking pass requires a ticketed account.

Pretty simple really. FKing needs to GTFO and tell the new President their first task is to fire Alleva and go bring Woodward or Radakovich home.

And what do we get for all of that money?

Bargain bin coaches and mediocre hires. Pathetic

Forcing Bertman on him as AD was one of the main reasons Emmert left for UW. It being his alma mater made it that much easier.

Sadly, this is a problem all over the country. I remember going to Tennessee over 10 years ago and every lot on campus required a permit.

he worst part is that over half those lots will be empty for most games, making the campus even more of a ghost town than it has become

And meanwhile the Nicholson corridor looks like the mandatory evacuation order was issued for a hurricane that popped up three miles off the coast.

This is why traffic sucks too. Its no longer spread out all over campus.

The interior of campus used to be alive with activity. Its dead now, and people don't tailgate like they used to because the public parking is so far away from campus. So you don't have the folks setting tents up behind their cards like they used to.

Its all about $$$. But eventually the dollars are going to dry up once the long term tradition folks stop going to games.

This is one of the worst things LSU has done to the overall fan experiece. If LSU is serious about getting fans back to campus for games they would go back to majority free parking in the areas not directly adjacent to the stadium.

LSU football being an “event” is what gets the big crowds to campus and to the stadium. We only have a couple big events a year now because it has become a pain in the arse to attend and tailgate every week and many of the large tailgate groups have either scaled down or don’t show at all except for 2-3 games/year.
Thanks Alleva. Carpet baggin yankee sumbitch

Alleva's contract runs out mid next year, right? There's nothing they can do about it this year, but if the BOS renews Alleva's contract, and if they don't reverse the parking and tailgating policies, then they truly don't give a frick about LSU football. It's that simple.

No doubt. It use to be fun to walk back to your tailgate after the game and hang out until traffic died down.

I quit tailgating for this reason, plus they put up fences to block off my usual spot. Won't tailgate. Just watch from home. LSU is now just average. Thanks Joe.

Every major SEC program has gone to permit parking for most of the campus.

Most of the people you are talking about don't even attend the games. LSU doesn't care about the fan sitting outside the stadium not spending $$$.

I see the BMW lot. But, I am still scouring the map to find the "Honda Accord" lot.

Lol! Maybe next year with Jackass Alleva at the helm, it’ll be Honda Stadium...but he’d prolly try and spice it up a little and make it Honda Stadium at Tiger Field or something

OK, but still doesn't change the fact that making parking and tailgating easier and more available would get more fans to games. The other SEC schools have also reported declines in attendance. Maybe LSU should experiment with reversing this policy.

Most may not, its impossible to know for certain what percentage don't go to the games, but a large portion certainly do go to the games and it helps with the walk up crowd. The main point here is that LSU is ignoring one of the biggest reasons for no-shows, while acting like they are doing everything they can to address the problem.

I no longer host tailgates. My tailgate generally had about 200 people in attendance. Only about 100 of those would go to the game, another 60 would stay behind, watch the game and finish a keg or two, the other 40 would leave to go home or friends house to watch the game. Then many of those who went to the game came back to the tailgate spot for a couple hrs while traffic died down.

When they started phasing out the free parking it was the beginning of the end. People just didn't want to trek a mile to tailgate, then when get to their car stuck in horrendous traffic because it forced everyone to be at the same location on campus. Eventually there would only be a few people left at tailgate spots during games so people had to pack up before the game.

I know people complained that all these extra free loaders were trashing campus, etc..A big time Bama night game matchup would have 180K on campus. These people were supporting the BTR economy and buying LSU gear. LSU thought these same people would pay $20 to park and still support the BTR economy by buying beer, food, etc.. But instead those people just decided its not worth the hassle anymore and stopped attending.

Now you have tailgating drastically reduced all across campus.
