LSU football parking map tells the story as to why campus has lost its game day luster.

90% of campus is reserved/pay parking. I knew it was a lot but seeing it all in one spot kind of shocked me I guess. Sheesh.

When I’m on the Tiger fan council I’m going to show up with this map on the first day

No doubt. I remember the good days when the RVs were in Lot C (now 401) right next to Tiger Stadium. It was awesome for the atmosphere. Those were the days...

While most saw LSU tailgating as one of the best things about college football, Joe Alleva saw $$$.
Thanks Joe
Thanks Joe

Parking free on Tower Dr and walking a quarter mile to my tailgate used to be fun too.

Me too. Much better...bring back the ceiling fan on the oak tree at the corner of Nicholson & S. Stadium!

The worst part is that over half those lots will be empty for most games, making the campus even more of a ghost town than it has become. I gave up my tickets after years of having them because gameday on campus pales in comparison to what it was just five years ago. I'll still go to the games, but gone are the days of spontaneous tailgating.

This is one of the worst things LSU has done to the overall fan experiece. If LSU is serious about getting fans back to campus for games they would go back to majority free parking in the areas not directly adjacent to the stadium.
LSU football being an “event” is what gets the big crowds to campus and to the stadium. We only have a couple big events a year now because it has become a pain in the arse to attend and tailgate every week and many of the large tailgate groups have either scaled down or don’t show at all except for 2-3 games/year.
Thanks Alleva. Carpet baggin yankee sumbitch

Parking should require a game ticket. That is all.
To the douchebags that downvoted: Go tailgate in your backyard and leave the games to the the real fans or pay your own way and get tickets.

They should go back to that. It was something to see and even visiting fans loved it.

Tiger Fan Council? Is that one of those things where they give "the people a voice" so you think you matter, and they can use it as a scapegoat?

The fan counsel accomplishments will be along the lines of:
Choosing the gold game
Reducing price of drinks by 25 cents

We used to park by swine palace. I remember going on there to take a piss before they redid it. Those were the days.

This makes me sad.
And how much money are they spending on enforcing this bullshite?
Not to mention, the routes in/out are anyone's guess up till you have to turn around for big games... they can make a map of parking, enforce it, but damn if they can't pre-plan the which roads will be blocked off.
