Drop your predictions here.

I've been an LAU fan long enough to know not to count the chickens before the eggs hatch. I'm excited and hopeful but mentally prepared for a letdown if it should happen.
Football 9-3 just because almost everyone is new
Basketball #10 seed for the same reason.

I predict darker people will be less recruited than lighter people.

In today’s collegiate sports this will be a yearly occurrence if you are talking player wise.

9-3 may not make it to postseason. Depends on other teams in the running.

No 9-3 team has made it as an at-large yet. One making it would be the anomaly, not the rule.

That's a curious position.
Not only has Wade made the NCAA Tournament in his last 6 seasons as a HC, at three different schools, but the tournament field has expanded to 76 teams. I would say basketball is more likely to make the postseason than football for, if no other reason, there is more opportunity to do so in basketball.

Take your facts somewhere else, man

At the same time, it’s ok if both of those sports don’t have the seasons people are expecting. Both programs are in a rebuild, just remember that.

Yeah, I’m going to wait and see the final basketball roster before I make a prediction there. Too much still up in the air. But that’s just me.

"Rebuild" in 2026 is not the same as "rebuild" prior to 2022(ish). The timeline to build a really good team is expedited with the transfer rules. Particularly in basketball. In the era of "free agency", patience is gone. Look no further than Indiana. Total non-factor in its entire history to 27-2 in two years with two CFP appearances and a NC.
I LOVE the hires of Kiffin and Wade. But while I'm not expecting championships for either next season, I don't want to hear about patience for a rebuild. You have the resources to get talent. Make the post season!

Wade will absolutely make the tourney.
How else will be able to continue his streak of losing in the Round of 32?

You need help. I bet you think we should have hired Pete Golding over Lane too since he led the team to the semifinals, right?

Which would still be leaps and bounds better than the last 4 years of LSU basketball.
Of course, a little context is always appropriate when discussing broad statements.
Last year was disappointing second half of the season for NC State with an unceremonious effort in the NCAA Tournament. ZERO doubt about that with no argument otherwise.
Prior to that thought, his most recent NCAA Tournament appearances were with McNeese...as a 12 seed. Something not only unheard of there, but frankly unfathomable. Simply making the tournament already made him the best HC in McNeese history. But he actually won a game. I guess if losing to (4) seeds Gonzaga and Purdue makes one a "bad coach" then, there no pleasing the detractors.
Prior to that he was allowed by his AD to coach in one NCAA Tournament at LSU. He lost to No. 1 seed Michigan.
Setting aside last year's disappointing season, it's not like he was John Calipari where he lost to lower seeds in 3 straight tournaments...including heavyweights like Oakland and St. Peters. He just hasn't gotten over the hump yet of beating much better teams than his in the tournament yet. But again, that is FAR greater than any coach in the last 30+ years of LSU basketball outside of Brady's one fluke team in 2006

Imagine thinking this is a “burn”

The football team is loaded, so anything less than 10-2 will disappointing. I think we should beat everyone on our schedule.
In basketball, it will depend on if we can get a good point guard. The current roster will probably make the expanded tournament, but make a quick exit. If he can manage to find a good point guard, then the current roster (without Luis and Madar) can go deep in the tournament.
