Not much to be overly excited about there, especially offensively.

As a whole, this really was our weakest offense since 2009. I'm confident a more experienced O-line will truly help out, barring any injuries, but if Canada is here next year, those numbers have to go up big time.

The one thing that sticks out to me is red zone offense. LSU was abysmal in the red zone this year. Hopefully we can make some strides in that area beginning with the bowl game.

Our field goal kicking had a lot to do with that I believe.

True. Touchdown percentage went from 51% to 61%

How about we hire a special teams coach?

The problem is we lose our QB, first and second string RBs, and two starting WRs. I'm excited about our young talent at WR and QB, but I'm concerned about out running game next year.

You'd have to believe that if LSU could improve the passing game, then the scoring and red zone would take care of themselves. It's not just on the QB either; OL protection and WR need to improve, as well.

These are very valid concerns, but a lack of feature talent at running back is a weakness that Canada's offense thrives in hiding.

Actually pretty good. Defense allowing 311 yards/ game (only 125 rushing) is FAR better than mediocre. And the offense registered 200+ both rushing & passing, only a handful of FBS teams achieved this (Auburn being one).

I hope so. I think you'll see plenty of jet sweeps next year, but you need a RB to keep the DE and LBs honest up the middle. Hopefully Brossette is ready and Clyde and Provens can step up.

As of January 2018 teams will be allowed 10 assistant coaches. Pretty sure we'll add a special teams coach at that time.

Possibly, but when you're in the red zone, you'd rather not be settling for field goal attempts.

We did that several times this past weekend. Should have hung 60 on Chief.

I was impressed with how the penalties were address. We were headed down a dark road early on.

Our 4th down efficiency is higher than our 3rd down efficiency. Yikes.
