Of the teams you've listed, here are the teams that we would defeat head to head with absolutely no problem right now in my opinion.
11 TCU
12 Cincinnati
13 Okla St
16 BYU
17 Oregon
18 Michigan St
20 Pitt
21 Missouri
22 Ball State
23 Nwestern
26 Florida State
27 Oregon St
28 No Carolina
30 Nebraska
31 California
32 E Carolina
33 Clemson NR
34 Kansas
35 Tulsa
36 West Va
37 Rice
38 Rutgers
39 Buffalo
40 West Mich
No way, guy. COULD we beat those teams head to head? Sure. But if we played them the way we've played all season, there is no way we beat more than half of them.

That is awful. Les should be ashamed quite frankly.

Just remember - when Curly was coach we would have been thrilled to have finished 40th.
I'm honestly tired of hearing this. Yes, we would have been thrilled to finish 40th or let alone, the top 25. The fact is that LSU has moved on from that and LSU fans, administration, and the AD should demand much more than finishing 40th in the BCS. Especially when we are paying the head coach close to $4,000,000 per year.
Also, to whoever thinks we would beat TCU head to head...remember that TCU is one of two teams that held OU to 35 points this season (their season low). And no, OU wasn't looking ahead a week to Baylor.

Hmmmm....when Charlie Mac was here, we used to beat them like 77-0. And he lived in my neighborhood, making like $140,000 a year. At least we only finished 1 spot behind Buffalo, and they are an NFL team!

LSU is a very good team and better than ala. As long as Jordan Jefferson plays the whole game at QB vs. Georgia Tech., LSU wins and finishes No. 21 AP.

If that makes you feel better about this season, then go with it
No, what makes me feel better is looking down that list and seeing Georgia sitting at 15 after being preseason #1 and all the crying at the end of last season about how they got screwed. This Georgia team with the best QB in college football and the best RB in the conference was finally going to live up to expectations and win a championship. This Georgia team with all the pieces to make a run at a title but still could not get it done.
Then I remember that as a realist and someone that played the game at the college level, that this was a rebuilding year, a gut check year, a pill for the younger players to swallow. We were far too young and inexperienced at all the wrong positions for this team to make a run and the wheels finally come off twards the end of the season. Not to worry, we will be back and this year will provide the motivation for future championships, for winners don't like to lose and champions work harder when faced with failure.
Now, I ask you, who would you rather be? LSU or Georgia...

We're not paying a coach 3.75 million a year to finish 40th in the BCS.
If 40th is all expectations are, we can save a LOT of money on a head coach.

That's what season ending losses to Ole Miss (a blowout really) and Arkansas will do to you.
