No fear of Clempson. Just want the team most deserving of being #1 get the seeding advantage they earned.
Beat UGA and there should be no doubt who has had the most deserving season.

You’d like to play with our peepees.

So our next three games are against #4, #3, and #2? No shame in wanting an easier path, especially after already beating #7, #9, and #11. Law of averages bound to catch up eventually.

Personally, I’m a little nervous playing anyone. Because they haven’t really been tested, Clemson is a bit of a wild card. So yes, I’d rather someone else play them first.

Happen to think Utah is a tougher match than '19 Clemson - '18 Clemson is likely tougher, but still quite beatable.

Clemson’s resume is fricking laughable. They haven’t played a soul and almost lost to an awful UNC team.

Yeah, We're nervous after playing Bama, Auburn, Florida and TX on the road. Schmuck.

tOsu would want the same, why go through the forest when you can take the interstate! Path of least resistance, not scared, it's just common sense. Work smarter young man, not harder.

i mean, would you rather play them or baylor/utah/oklahoma?

Those of you who are freaking out about whether LSU is ranked #1 or #2 are legit nervous about playing Clemson for whatever reason.
Face it. That’s why you’re so adamant about putting LSU #1. It’s your way of saying you’re skeert without actually saying it.
One can think LSU should be #1 based on merit alone, regardless of Clemson at 3.
But any logical fan would certainly prefer to play Utah or Oklahoma instead of Clemson.

I just want Joe to be on the #1 team on Heisman night.

So I guess all the pundits saying this is the most advantageous year to be #1 are also motivated by fear?
Or perhaps they just know that whoever is ranked #4 will be a much easier opponent than Clemson?
And that’s not even taking into account that the #1 seed gets to choice his venue!

It’s not being nervous about playing Clemson.
From a fan standpoint it’s easy to just say frick it and win it all. But most of us feel like the team earned the #1 spot.
Like literally any other sport that has playoffs, the highest ranked team (usually) EARNS that spot. Meaning they get the favorable seeding.
Would you like your NFL team to earn the #1 seed and lose home field advantage? Same concept.

Travel to Atlanta to watch LSU play the #4 team (526 miles)
Travel to Phoenix to watch LSU play the #3 Clemson (1440 miles)
Take into account that we made the Phoenix trip just last year. Damn near 3 times farther than Atlanta. What kind of fan wouldn't want the #1 seed? Idiot

It’s not because LSU is afraid.
It’s because LSU was robbed of #1 due to ongoing bias for certain programs.

LSU can beat anyone in the country they line up against. We're just tired of the "eye test" over resume.

You're actually correct, but few here will admit to it. Way too much testosterone around here! I, on the other hand, am a realist, and I hereby admit I am nervous about Clemson. Dabo is no joke, and his club has been disrespected all season long. I'd much prefer they take out the anger on ohio state and kind of blow their wad a bit. Meanwhile, we can throttle a baylor or okie or utah, then be ready to take the national title.

Clemson plays a softer schedule than Alabama! They will play unranked Virginia in the ACC championship game.
Posted on 12/1/19 at 2:43 pm to HammerJackFlash
LSU is nervous about nothing.
Posted on 12/1/19 at 2:43 pm to HammerJackFlash
i don’t care who we play.. i just want to win it all.. we can play ohio state first and we will kill them
Posted on 12/1/19 at 2:44 pm to TigerWatch
Yes, Clemson's schedule is weaker, by far, no doubt, but they are going to play lights out.
