Does this surprise anyone else that we are this high? I'm not too surprised that we're up there, but personally surprised we are at 3rd.

You mean Ricky from new Iberia crying on the recruiting board about not having the funds to compete while not contributing a dime himself was wrong this entire time?

No way!

That’s just collective money. Not outside funding. So not surprised as I’m not even sure what it means in the grand scheme

This has to be a lie because Matt Mascona has been telling us over and over that LSU is poor and is lagging far behind.

This could mean lots of things. By collective, I assume they are limiting it to Bayou Traditions. Are they talking about money collected, money spent, or something else? It's probably too early in the game to talk about total asset value. I would hope that they are putting some of the money collected into some sort of investment fund to be less dependent on annual giving in times of economic hardships.

Between all sports I'm not surprised.

We got titles in multiple sports in the last 5 years. Dividends brother.

I find this hard to believe bc there are a few on the recruiting board that say LSU doesn’t have the money to keep up, won’t spend the money needed to stay competitive and won’t pony up for the big name players.

It’s not even close to correc for football. It’s in the 6 million neighborhood. Neither are the others.

Endowment funds have to be the future of NIL collectives if they arent already

Again it depends on what is being used for these estimates. Just Bayou Traditions? Way off. All NIL collectives for all sports? Buy it. Current football roster? Little high but not much. Brian Kelly himself said going forward beginning in 2025 our roster estimate would be 20-22 million per year. Just football.
Point being if 6 mil is the football number currently, lots of undeserving kids are about to get huge raises or we've got a long winter of fundraising to do. That's based on Brian Kelly's words. Hard to fathom 33% of the budget l(based on the 6 #) is about to get offered to one hs DL. Baseball seems flush as well. Seems 20 is a lot closer than 6 based on how we seem to be operating in regards to the sports that matter.

Crazy how so many people have money to basically flush down the toilet. It’s not like there’s a real return on investment. Which NIL was supposed be.

Most of that money is going to be shared revenue through the university not NIL. LSU has done pretty well with spending and not over spending. Kelly has a pretty good recipe for programs long term success and not trying to buy a playoff spot. That’s hasn’t worked out for teams this far ie Aggy and OM.
