Won their opener in the NJCAA Region 23 Tourney 8-0 over Northwest Mississippi Community College...

They will face the winner of East Central Community College and Pearl River Community College.

LSU-E is making a run for its 5th National Championship in 8 years and back to back titles...

Impressive for the Division II Bengals.

Delgado is Number 1 in Division I this year and plays in the South Central regional this weekend.

Would be a much tougher game than our usual mid-week opponents

They didn't have LSU-E when I lived in B.R. and La.. Is it a 4 yr. school or a Jr.college. I saw where Ole Miss's catcher came from LSU-E. That's why I thought it was a 2 yr. school???? It was said on the game tonight.

LSU-E is a junior college like BRCC or Delgado

LSU-E would be a very tough game for the real Tigers. My question is, and has been for years, why the hell hasn't E's coach been offered any D-1 gigs? What's the real story?

I played on the first team ever at LSU-E back in 2000. Glad to see them doing some amazing things the last couple of years

I always call LSU-E our Minor League affiliate. We send our kids who aren't quite good enough yet there and if it works out, we get them on in 2 years.

Works perfect for us and them.

it's a shame that they don't play in juco division 1. playing in div 2 is equivilent to playing a 4a highschool schedule around the country.

I played for Coach Willis his 1st year @ Eunice. I know they made him AD to get him more money.

LSU-E is part of the LSU System. Just like LSU-Alexandria, or LSU-Shreveport or even the LSU Health Sciences Center (Med School) in New Orleans are part of the LSU System.

I went to LSU-E for 2 years before transfering to LSU-BR. I enjoyed it. Managed to get away with all sorts of stupid shite in that town. Apparently they let anything go except playing loud music and bitching to police officers about having to move your car. Managed to watch a few games while I was there during one of their title runs. That was in the late CSL / early CPM years and it was a much needed boost to watch some winning baseball.
