It is still atrocious. LSU fans have been groomed to seeing solid defense over the years. This defense must find a way to tackle - fast. Our defense is giving huge yards after contact. This can make/break a game.

Couldn't agree more. It's the biggest issue on defense and special teams at this point.

They give up on plays and get caught watching too often. Right up the middle of our defense got worked by Ole Miss on a few drives.

I know that O put a huge emphasis on creating turnovers. The problem is that it limits your tackling ability.

Bama will pound the rock and mix in runs by Hurts to control the LOS, clock and field pos. They will wear us down if we can't stop the run right up the middle and get off the field on 3d down.

Meh... I've seen this thread every season for the last 10 years. Chavis had some awful games where guys wouldnt/couldnt tackle to save their lives.

You could change the title to a specific player. It's obvious.

For years, in college in general, there is a lot “hitting” but a failure to wrap them up with the arms, which often allows the ball carrier to keep on trucking. Drives me crazy.

Yes, Ole Miss runs a spread that put LSU into a thinner net but many tackles were missed last night particularly on their small backs.

On the lighter side I see Devin White still has the SEC lead in total tackles by about 14. Tied for 4th in the country in total tackles. Tied for 12th in Tackles per game.

??? It's been a noticeable, glaring problem all season. There's a thread about it every week
