Auburn gives up 94.

Total yards per game given up:

LSU - 319
Auburn - 319

Our D has started to figure it out. Our O is unreal. Think were gonna be just fine this weekend

I would caution a little that teams are likely passing more to match our offensive productivity. That being said we are only giving up 2.9 ypc which is probably the more telling stat.

I would imagine Shelvin's push in the middle is a big factor why we are doing well vs the run. He's disrupting run lanes, drawing doubles and allowing our LBs to flow uninhibited to the ball carrier.

If Florida’s D-line couldn’t make an impact, Auburn’s sure as heck won’t.

Don’t kid yourself, Brown and Davison are two of the best DL in the country

But I trust Our offense to know how to handle them.

Joe is also great under pressure.

I think Auburn's DL is better. But, I was encouraged by how well our offense neutralized Florida's DL.

The most frustrating part about the D is giving up 3rd and longs. If that issue gets fixed then I think everyone’s outlook on the D would change dramatically.

I pointed out in another thread yesterday that Auburn, LSU, Florida and Alabama are ranked 23 through 26 in total defense nationally as of this week. They are all four in practically a dead heat, yet all we hear is how LSU and Alabama's defenses aren't as strong as they have been, and how Auburn and Florida's defenses are the best maybe in the country.

Georgia's defense has been stellar, way above those four, yet I never really hear a peep about their D. Their D certainly didn't lose them that game against USC.

They are and in all honesty, UF's DL was banged up. Zuniga and Greenard were in and out of the line up with injuries. I said in another thread that Brown is this year's Quinnen Williams. He's that disruptive.

Florida has the better edge rushers. Auburn has the better interior linemen. They are both very good, just in different ways. I was more worried about Florida, because we have five brutes who can handle power.

Brown is Brown and he has been this good forever it feels like.

We just gotta make sure we get the ball our quick

Keep the on their back keeps

They’re both huge DL

I wouldnt Be surprised to see us go to warp. Espcially considering their offense needs to run to win, and we’re actually pretty solid vs the run.

Its crazy that im honestly more worried when we have them 3rd and long rather than 3rd in a yard. That incredible INT by Stevens last week was like 3rd and 13 and would have been caught for 1st down without that bad arse catch.

We did a good job against Florida but I am more concerned about pressure up the middle with Auburn. If they can collapse the pocket from the middle and Joe can't step up, it's a problem. I actually expect us to pick up the tempo a lot this game on offense to try to neutralize their big guys.

Just read a stat that said LSU gives up 3rd downs on pass plays at a rate of 47% which is near the bottom of football.

Don't read too much into the performance by Florida's defensive line. They were missing their two best linemen.
