I just heard the broadcast team of Stanford vs Hawaii discussing.

Virginia's (who just mauled NCState) , offensive line:

Monroe Mills (RT): 7th Year
Drake Metcalf (C): 7th Year
Noah Josey (LG): 6th Year
Makilan Thomas (RG): 6th Year
McKale Boley (LT): 5th Year

Average: 6.2 years.

What?!?!

But never in the NFL...........etc

Remember when keeping folks till the junior year was the debatable topic?

This whole thing is illogical bs. One second its in the nfl the next second its ok not in nfl but only if you signed an nfl contract then its ok but if you stayed enroll in your school for a masters then it doesnt count if you went to nfl camp either

Its absurd. I wish someone would corner these media pundits

I am really hoping we are done with this whole 6th and 7th year BS after this year. No more covid exemptions. 5 years to use 4 years of eligibility.

We pretty much are.

It's 5 to play 5 now, and your clock starts when you enrol or on September 1st after you turn 19, whether you enroll in school or not. There are exceptions for military service or qualified missionary work.

That isn't really the same thing. It's a different set of issues that will go away with the new rules.

This has nothing to do with your point, but it bothers me that you didn't order the players T G C G T

Indiana was pretty similar last season. The average age on their team was over 23, which seems impossible if you have even a small class of Freshmen who should be 18-19.
