The attrition over the last calendar year continues…
Dare Rosenthal (TBD)
Arik Gilbert (Georgia)
Siaki Ika (Baylor)
Marcel Brooks (TCU)
Maurice Hampton (TBD)
Tre Bradford (Oklahoma)

And most all for different reasons from the other.

Change our weed policy?

Idk. Is this an LSU thing or an NCAA thing.

It isn't an NCAA thing. Let's put it this way - Stanford and Notre Dame aren't as strict as LSU. We're like a service academy when it comes to weed.

Yes you can when the entire conference doesn't enforce the same LSU does.

We are talking weed here but as usual Louisiana is 50 yrs behind progress on it.

I can see the argument for both sides here but I do agree with you and especially now that Louisiana is decriminalizing weed …

Now, clearly Rosenthal has absolutely zero self-control when it comes to weed and his numerous busted drug screens every year since enrolling at LSU is proof that he just doesn’t give a shite.

However, I simply can’t believe that LSU requires tests for a substance that the NCAA and none of the other SEC schools require a test for. Then, for LSU to strictly enforce player punishment after failing these “One-Off” tests is pretty much insane. What makes it even worse is that it’s extremely widely known that a lot of these collegiate athletes like to smoke weed and testing for it would certainly result in many failed results.

The University here in Baton Rouge either didn’t get that memo or they did and just don’t care.

Can't

Signed 23 plus two transfers. 25 max.

It'll be Wire's job to lose.

You are absolutely correct sir but we live in a current society where the culprit is absolved of blame, regardless of the outcome. See all those who resist arrest and are unfortunately killed due to their primary cause and effect relationship.
Please do not compare someone violently resisting arrest to someone who smokes some weed. Just don’t.

Who to blame for this single incident is a useless fricking argument. It solves nothing. The issue is going forward, how can we get our compliance office on par with other competitive schools? This is not a recipe for success.

Wonder if LSU not allowing pot has influenced a recruit to go elsewhere.

Surely it sounds silly, but I am curious...

Your daddy benefited from the changes last year idiot. Instead of consecutive games they picked them. You violate the drug policy and get caught you deserve what you get.

You’re just afraid no your daddy will be fired because you know he wasn’t hired by Scotty.

Dare must have been a special brand of stupid and a big headache for O I know he’d rather have his starting LT but I wonder if some part of his says good riddance. Obviously Cam Wire is the next up and I think he can at least be serviceable but who is his backup? Is it Dumervil? Do they start Dellinger out at LT instead of RT? Do they move Charles Turner to tackle? Someone has to step up.

All we’re asking is for us to be on par with other competitive schools. It’s not too much to ask.
