His expectations were lowered because he was a terrible fricking choice as a HC.

But please, by all means, continue with your bull shite narrative

LSU deserves its laughing stock status. What an incredibly cruel joke the administrators are paying to sports fans.

This looks like a fair contract for both sides Les

I’m actually surprised Ed would agree to such a big drop in buyout

Yeah that the buyout is only $4 million after 2020 is a good deal

Has nothing to do with a raise and has nothing to do someone trying to hire him away. 100% cosmetic.

It's not that big

And be prepared for an onslaught of people who do not know how buyouts work

He's not going anywhere else. There is zero demand for Ed Orgeron in the College Football coaching market

The $10 million buyout is basically another way of saying "he's not getting fired after next year". If they've essentially already made that decision, then the buyout is just in name only.

the extension is expected and is necessary for recruiting. the buyout being $10 mil is dumb but it's honestly not that bad. I think that mean it's $2.5 mil a year right? they already know that they won't be firing him any time within the next 2 years anyway, so if we're seriously bad and he needs to be fired 2 years from now then a $5 mil buyout isn't too bad. could anyone correct me on my buyout math or do I understand that correctly?

This extension tells me that Alleva is here for the long haul. What a fricking disaster that guy is.

Read the article baw

The buyout is $10 million if he’s fired after this season. Then it drops $250K per month and settles at a flat $4million is February 2021
