So you’d hire two coaches that are currently coaching to have us hire them after they are fired??

Well one would be going back to a position he was highly successful in, because he wasn’t able to keep a job as a head coach

The other would be leaving the NFL to come back to LSU

so it’s different

Wrong. Jayden has a lot of faults. Wr's are open. He's scared to throw the ball too many times.

that level, to NEVER go under center is ridiculous.

This is actually false. We can go under center and have before. I think maybe even in this game.

Maybe you should call plays

Daniels has a lot of faults, but hot damn the play calling was atrocious.

In todays modern offenses the same play can be run by someone else and look totally different based on the read and reaction of each. Also plays are called partially based on info brought back to the bench by the QB...

There would be less attention on Denbrock if JD would’ve seen wide open BTJ on the slant at the goal line on the first drive.

Maybe. Doesn’t mean he’s the best guy for the job though.

Levee, do you think that in short yardage situations, which LSU had a number of these in this game, that they should not be under center?

I do not recall JD being under center for a single snap vs. Fla St. I may be wrong, but if they were, it was not for many plays. the most important part is that they were not under center at the most important times.

It what way do any of them want to take a step backwards in their career?
I think Brady is happy in nfl and arranda is currently coaching at Baylor as the head coach.

This was a talent issue. Our backs suck.

Well, that indeed might be the case, but we never went under center (or even shotgun) with 3 tight ends so how would we know? And for the record, with the exception of Williams, I agree they do suck.

I hate the scheme more than the play calling

Last season I convinced myself it had more to do with it being year one….sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case

Our talent on offense isn’t there yet but don’t think this scheme is helping matters much

There would be less attention on everybody if we played Tenn-Martin like Georgia did…or Middle Tennessee like Bama did. At least the coaches know they need to change a lot of stuff now.

I wonder if it’s Denbrock or Daniels. Because when Nuss entered games the offense looked a million times different.

A QB that throw the ball deep down the field really opens up this offense.

clogs up the line and there is no escape hatch for JD to do what he does.

after the Alabama game, AM / ARK / UGA / FSU went man on outside and zone underneath (Alabama went man with LBs multiple times), this is taking away “what he does”.

Teams are daring him to take deep shots, willing to give up 1 or 2 bc they don’t believe he can or will do it consistently. Stop his scrambling and you shut him down.

How many times did we see BK tell him to throw it, it’s 1 on 1 last season.

You can see frustration in game 1 from WRs. I believe the drops are a result of that frustration, they have no confidence in him.

Did it occur to you that CBK can't do better than Denbrock??

Bottom line - LSU can do better than CBK.

LSU and Kelly could have hired Andy Ludwig if they wanted, unlike another school

CBK is calling those plays. Saw it for 12 years. We used to refer to it as "offensive genius."
