I don’t even know what Haskins and his preseason football performance has to do with anything.

Burrow had the starting job before he stepped foot in Louisiana

This is why you don't engage him.
Who said anything about Haskins winning 10 games this year and how is that even fair to compare and also how does wins and losses fall on a quarterback alone when he is one player on a team.

I'm sure there are experts in NOLA or BR. Hope they bring them in.
I know a LSU alum in Houston that can handle this. Hook us up with a couple of suite tickets and I can make it happen for free.

I'm pretty sure that if this was a problem that they have gotten it well in hand by now.

The situations are almost identical.
Very similar. Agreed.
Haskins was playing against grown men as a rookie with zero experience. Burrow walked into a situation in which his team had top 10 talent.

Now, is it your opinion that Haskins will take the starting job and win 10 games this season? Like Burrow did?
Teams that have to take a QB at 15 usually aren't set up to win 10 games in an NFL season which would likely put them in the playoffs. They're picking 15th because they're a middle of the pack kind of team. LSU was basically a QB away from having a special season and Burrow played his arse off considering what he was given to work with schemewise. Burrow came in with at least some games reps as a 4th year junior. You're trying to compare that to going to the NFL as a rookie and playing grown men with the best coaches in the world. This 10 win question is nonsense.
I brought this up yesterday when you said "let's see how Haskins does on Thursday night."

And, of course 10 wins is out of the question. 6 or 7 wins would probably keep Haskins in the fan's good graces.
That's 3 or 4 more wins than a lot of media is projecting for the Skins -which is in the range of what Burrow did for LSUs offense.

I realize this is out of context, but I think even you can get a laugh from this.
Me...
You...
For the record, I think you're overall outlook for what it's gonna take for Haskins to be successful at this level is pretty much spot on.

There he goes again. The guy has more twists and turns than those crazy straws that we had as kids.

Are you seriously comparing win totals for an NFL team vs a college team, as if it's not apples to oranges?

Bwahahahahahh. Right on. Lol.

and the second part of my answer was about the 10-win thing.
Sheesh

Back to Haskins, most people think HC Gruden is toast. And with the rock-solid ownership commitment Haskins has, I would not be surprised to see a Ryan Day* or Josh Gattis type OC/HC come rolling into DC real soon. Haskins could thrive in a Spread/RPO offense in the NFL.
LSU better lock up Brady for a few years as soon as his brand of the Spread/RPO offense proves itself.
*Haskins' co-OC at OSU Kevin Wilson knows that offense as well as Day does.

Agreed. The whole thing about him having the play ready and then Ensminger using it if he likes it screams grooming Brady for OC to me. I just hope that it doesn't bite us in the arse somehow in the process.
