The same thing about “team” stats would have been said about Burrow as well.......

wow.

Pretty sure 99% of the first references to Haskins in any thread in the last 18 months on tRant have come from either your ridiculous critiques of him, or people pointing out your ridiculous critiques of him. All to prop up your stalk crush.

You're the one who claimed Burrow would be drafted higher than Haskins, and even bet on it, and then crawfished out of it. Twice!

No need. We all make mistakes. I started a thread the other day that was dumbest of the dumb. It happens.

He went 15th overall didn't he? That's not hyping, that's a record of the events that have unfolded.

And you've already come to a conclusion about him based on a preseason game? I am surprised. He just got there in May, and is getting used to new WRs, and an offensive line. I thought you were sensitive to these types of situations.

I would guess that YOU have superior football chops to the father and son duo who drafted Haskins.

Haskins has tons of raw talent. He's the snappiest of snappy throwers. But he is several years from being a winning NFL QB... and he could be a great one - if they give him time to develop.

Every QB has receivers that step out of bounds or drop balls, but he went several games early on with "0" touchdown passes. Not too many starting QBs in college football did the same. The system and Ensminger's shitty play calling were major factors in the pathetic red zone efficiency. I don't put the majority of blame on Burrow. The biggest problem is Ensminger and Orgeron's dumb asses constantly rolling the "jumbo package" on to the field. That shite just does not work in modern day football. Too easy to stop and really just a waste of a scoring opportunity. Just kick the field goal on first down and lessen the chances of injury, if the jumbo package is the most creative offense you can come up with. LSU has had several losses over the last couple of years because they couldn't put the ball in the endzone. Settling for three is ok every now and then, but the amount of field goals that had to be attempted last year was alarming. Hopefully Brady will be able to spark some offensive creativity inside the twenty. If Burrow can sharpen his accuracy and make quick decisions, the sky is the limit with the talent at receiver.

You could say the same for most QBs that enter the league.

You think Burrow will be a winning NFL QB eventually?

Yes. And I think a year or two as a back-up would be a good thing.

Yeah, boom. In your own mind. I'm sure.

So you think Haskins will pull a Burrow this season? Take the starting job and win 10 games? boom

That's what a first round pick is supposed to do, isn't it? Make an immediate impact.

You have stated numerous times the only reason Burrow didn't achieve these otherworldly stats last season, that you love to toss out any chance you get (as if no one can see your sig line btw), is because he was still learning the offense. He only got there a couple months before fall camp so this year, now that he has a full grasp of it, he'll light it up with stats that very, very few college QBs have ever done.

But a guy that was neck and neck with Burrow, according to Urban Meyer, (another thing you love to throw out quite often) is supposed to get to the pros, have just a few months to learn those play calls and immediately make an impact?

The situations are almost identical. Both had just a couple months to learn the play calls, both came from your school, both were supposedly neck and neck for the starting position (so they're both talented QBs) but you give Burrow a pass because of this unhealthy obsession you have with him.

Very similar. Agreed.

Now, is it your opinion that Haskins will take the starting job and win 10 games this season? Like Burrow did?

I don’t care what Haskins does. I’m not the one who brings him up all the time.

The point of what Goldrush was saying is you’re giving one a learning curve and you’re not to the other guy that was on the same team with Burrow.

Does Haskin's play at least 10 teams with substantially less talent than his team?

I need this info before answering.
