I don't know Anderson, but any member of the BOS who allows himself to be quoted on this subject is dumber than Les, and deserves to be replaced before we start looking at changes in the athletic dept.

Sounds like they may have their guy already locked up and are ready to move forward. If you have a clear upgrade over Miles take it.
And you arrived at that how?

If I am Miles I resign today after reading that, but Les Miles is a better person than I am.

You didn't ask me, but I'll offer my opinion.
The powers that be already have their minds made up and have probably put out "feelers" to coach's agents.

Well the assumption is there can't be any way they're so willing and public about pushing out a winning coach with no immediate plan for replacing and presumably upgrading from him.
Assuming other's have a good plan isn't always a good plan.

It's not about who you fire, it's about who you hire.

Are we sure this member of the BOS isn't named Lowder?
I am not a Miles apologist, but this smells Auburn-like.
This is not a good thing...

This is Louisiana. Expecting reason and logic from any political entity is a stretch.

Yes they have...

Thats the attitude that the board members need to have regardless. Les needs to be accountable to SOMEONE. Why couldn't these powerful members give him shite before? Honestly, if he would stop with his dumb shite offense, then he could change everything. Although its hard to explain the lack of organization, squandered timeouts, poor awareness of playcocks etc.

If they fire les after a 2 loss season they better have the next bear Bryant lined up.

I didn't realize who wrote the article, I was just reading the quotes.

According to the linked article, it was Ronald Anderson.

Dumb comment.Anderson sounds like a moron.Miles may need to go,but a BOS member should have more sense.

LSU was gashed by two power football teams. LSU's power blocking game has been decimated with injuries. Neither of the games we played could have had a different outcome with a different gameplan or different in game coaching
Wow. And FAIRIES AND RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS AND LEPRECHAUNS AND THE EASTER BUNNY!!!! OH AND SANTA CLAUS IS REAL!!!!

I do think they have to be careful. You let a guy go coming off a sugar bowl year and other coaches will notice.
Did I miss something? I've seen this "LSU would go go the Sugar Bowl" thing time and again, but why? Why would we go?
Why wouldn't Florida get in the Sugar Bowl over LSU anyway?

Even if the wheels are in motion, it needs to be kept quiet. It looks really bad for someone on the BOS to be running his mouth about firing a coach after a 9-2 season.
This comes from someone who is ready to move on from Miles. But there's a line that has to be carefully walked between handling it internally and ending up with a messy unflattering divorce.
