Kind of something new with Jay Johnson, the previous coach was struggling to accomplish this the last few years.

Who cares? Let's win the series this weekend and then celebrate.

It’s just one game. Hardly enough to see a trend since we beat ULL last year. Although you are correct that we haven’t fared well against them in recent years. I believe Mainer I was 1-3 against ULL since 2018. The 2020 game was canceled due to Covid.

Paul was 13-6 against the cajuns. In baseball terms, that's fairly dominant.

Weird thread, ULL is way down this year and its a damn midweek game. PM beat them the 2-3 times it really counted

Do admins give out awards for the best, daily shitty thread? If so, this is definitely a major contender.

Beating ‘little brother’ in any sports doesn’t do much for me

And yet they can throw to first consistently.

The only time I’ve really cared whether or not CPM could beat ULL, was in the regional in 2013, and the supers in 2015, and he did so pretty easily.

FYI, if you are trying to talk shite about CPM’s record, it’s going to be pretty hard to back up.

This. ULL is irrelevant to LSU in sports

I wouldn’t say that 2015 super regional was easy. LSU really struggled to hit the ball.

Anybody know what happened to the old UL-L coach, Robichaux? He retired, moved on, got fired, died?

This, we needed a walk-off HR from Sciambra to win in the B9 in game 1

He was a genuinely good dude. I went to his baseball camp growing up, but I also met him when I worked at Academy in Lafayette and he was coming in to buy a wood bat for one of his sons when they were like little league age.

I actually found my picture from the year I went to his baseball camp. I was in elementary school when I went to it. One of the high school age campers there was Ryan Theriot. Nice little piece of memorabilia with ties to LSU and the Cardinals.

That's really cool. I always wondered if I had any future LSU players at any of the Bertman camps I went to as a kid.

Has way more to do with who’s in the UL dugout than the LSU dugout.

UL is a shadow of it’s old self without TRob. Very sad to see if you’re a college baseball fan.

The only thing still the same is the fan base love for each other, lol.
