Have a feeling this BBall team is going to have a similar path as our football team this year. Started slow, a lot of new players learning each other, plus a whole new system for most of them. By SEC play this team will be a top 5-6 SEC team.

I hope you are right, but I am struggling to see them as a middle of the pack SEC team. Our bigs are very limited and not very athletic. The top of the SEC this year will be really good.

This is far and away the best they've looked, and UNO is supposed to be the best opponent to date (though I think Arkansas State is probably better).

Encouraging.

I think McMahon will eventually get it right, but from what I've seen so far this year they don't have the depth down low to compete nor stop teams from scoring in the paint. Also I don't see many true shooters on this team except for Adam miller....really haven't seen many others hit jump shots consistently.

They look a lot better this game. I was worried.

Gotta give MM time. BK had at least 39 players. MM had zero

They’ll be competitive but don’t think they have the size and defense to compete with the better teams. Probably bottom half of league.

They look a lot better tonight than in the first game. Fountain looks like he should be starting. He moves well for 6’10”.

They have three 6'10 guys and a 7'footer that have played tonight. Now, some of them may have a good bit of developing to do, but we definitely have some good size.

Maybe it’s my imagination but it already seems like we have a much more organized offense, set plays, and disciplined defense.

We could have (10) 7 footers on this team but it wouldn't matter if they don't play meaningful minutes when conference time starts.

Right now it seems that KJ, Reed, and Fountain will be the big men that play when we get to conference. Both Reed and Fountain have thin frames so we'll see how they hold up.

McMahon mentioned before that he likes an 8 man rotation so with those 3 big men we'll also have Hill, Miller, Wilkerson, Hannibal, and Williams

BK had like 56 players to start the year before frosh and transfers. the 39 number as playing in the bowl game is so overrated. You don't need to lie to talk about what BK has accomplished.

At the moment I cannot see it. They’re going to be a bottom third of the SEC team. A win would be an NIT trip.

Hayes looked great today, and he was a good scorer for NC State as well, so I think he'll be in the rotation. He hit a bunch of 3 pointers with a defender on top of him.

Coleman will have to play some. He is very limited offensively, but probably our best rebounder.

I said that some of them may have a good bit of developing to do, but a non-conference schedule like this is generally when guys get more development. Obviously, KJ is already a good, seasoned player and he is 6'10. So it's not like the tallest guy we have out there is 6'7 or 6'8.

The first foul on our big guy was BS.
The second was because he was inside the circle.
That was all the time I could manage.

Anybody say how Ward looked?

This team I think will have some high highs but low lows. A lot of inconsistency but could make for a fun year. I do believe McMahon will do great things at LSU in the long run he just needs time. Will be nice to see what he can do when he has an offseason to just feel some roles instead of assembling an entire team from scratch.
