Maybe NC State will be ranked by the time the two meet in Brooklyn.

Eh, doubt it. Everyone is gonna be playing crappy teams. Too few games to move up that fast.
eta: Interesting sidenote:
Before LSU and State potentially meet, South Alabama plays @ State on the 15th and @ LSU on the 19th. Will give everyone the ability to obsess over a common opponent comparison, uncharacteristically early in the season

I have season tickets and live in Hammond, Hammond to BR is not that bad for basketball games.

That's definitely too far to drive for a basketball game.

Coach Jones bringing a team from starting a tuba player to being ranked after just 3 seasons is pretty remarkable when you think about it.
Too bad the mouth breathers will call for his head if he loses to Kentucky's pseudo-NBA team.

That would be easy if I still lived in Hammond. I live in Mandeville now which adds another 30 minutes or so, not taking into account the traffic, on the drive. That's really not feasible for games during the week when I'm work in New Orleans.

And when LSU beats #2 Kentucky in the PMAC Jan. 2 in our 1st home SEC game, LSU will move into the Top 10..
