Feels like 20.8 but it's 30.8

If MM is not going to play his bigger frontcourt guys more (hoping maybe they can help KJ in the lane and score more there), they're actually going to have to shoot even more 3's and start making a lot more of them to compete.

Yes, but the first rule of recruiting is don’t get caught on a wiretap of you violating ncaa rules

Seems that if you want to get top level HS recruits, then you have to show some kind of future hope in your program.

2. Once you get players to buy into your program, you have to have success or momentum.

3. To win big, recruits or portal guys have to want to team up with established all conference players.

I see no evidence that this will occur unti at least a minimum of four seasons. It may be until March of 2027, until lsu mens program has developed sufficiently to do damage in March Madness. ( win SEC).

No quick fix and I really don’t think SW really cares that much. But..Kim Mulkey will win big and there are only so many dollars that you can throw at the major sports at LSU.

I'd rather basketball be dead than Football or, more importantly, BASEBALL...

The downvote button is on the bottom right...

you win, people come...it is just that simple. The winning comes first, you cant cheer this team to any type of success...they are really really bad.

WW was obviously good enough to get the NCAA interested...... so yeah he was good.

Woody will land a good basketball coach, MM is a placeholder to get us out of the NCAA shadow.

Look who he hired so far … Mulkey, Kelly and Johnson. We might have the best all around staff in the country

He’ll pull a good coach in the next 2 years … NOBODY wanted this job following the WW scenario

I will get downvoted to oblivion for this, but if you want to make LSU men’s basketball interesting, hire KMR as men’s coach. She is tough as nails and will succeed in anything she does, it will put a spotlight on the program, and it will drum up interest.

It will negatively impact the women’s team unfortunately as she’s irreplaceable, but I think it’s a net positive for LSU athletics.

You expect way too much in one season for recruiting. He needs a little more time to get what is needed to make this program.

I’ll be honest at this rate I would’ve taken the tournament ban for a year on the chin if it meant we kept Wade. It’s not like we will make it this year anyways so was it really worth it? At least we knew we had a proven commodity who had us in the top 5 of the SEC year in and year out.

that's where i'm at with it.
Yes Will Wade was a dumbass and deserved to be fired. But i would have liked to know what the true punishment was going to be had we kept him. It might have been much worst than a 1 postseason ban. But if it was just a postseason ban for a year, or even 2, i would have rather kept him.
He loved LSU, and still does, and he marketed the hell out of his program. We might have never made a final four with him, but his teams fought hard every game and we were going to make some noise every single year, and that's all you can really ask for. I just want a team i can be proud of and want to cheer for, and we would have gotten that every year with Wade. There's no reason a school like LSU shouldn't be in the Tourney almost every single year.
