There’s a no fricks given element of Wade that I’ll definitely miss, but I think Tiger fans will be very pleased with McMahon. He’s the real deal

He reminds me of a more seasoned, mature Wade

I have no relationship with the guy and no inside sources into basketball. I like everything he has done so far that we have all been privy to. If he is what I believe a good technical coach, who seems to have an eye on the inside basketball world ( I base this off of him being able to pull in people so fast). He is going to blow up at LSU in a great way. His career was growing and he found his job after years of hard work.

Wades days numbered mainly because Scott can’t negotiate his way out of a wet paper bag.

I do think we could be decent this year despite the ADs best effort to lose the entire team.

I don’t think Woodward necessarily wanted Wade gone

I loved Wade's personality but McMahon seems more X and O's type coach. I'm completely fine with that if he can continue to build strong teams.

Based on what exactly? Or a better question, how was Wade a poor "x and o's coach"? Many like to repeat this line...but few, if any, actually explain their basis for it. Every year, every game, without fail, we'd have posters talking about LSU playing "street ball"...without any idea that for 3 straight seasons LSU was in the top 12, in the nation, in terms of offensive efficiency (two years in the top 5). Last season was the first in Wade's LSU career where the offense wasn't among the top 10% of offenses in the country. That doesn't happen by "just playing street ball."

If anything, Wade sometimes got too far in the weeds on "x's and O's". Particularly on defense...where LSU often seemed to be unnecessarily out of place (in the event anyone wanted to defend at all) trying do so something they didn't have to do (often unnecessary double-teams and overplays in an effort to create turnovers)

Over/under conference games before someone accuses this team of playing street ball

Under

Also as soon as we lose somehow Wade will be blamed for it.

Current LSU coaches aren’t responsible for anything until year 3 or 4 now lol

Woodward could have fired Wade the day he got the AD job.

I think He genuinely wanted to keep him around but the dude was paying blackmail from ex Gfs from His own bank accounts
