Former player Chris Reid had some great ideas:
-Full back seats in the entire stadium
- suites down the line
-bullpens moved behind outfield fence (please, this isn’t the 1950s)
-beer deck in outfield
- new batters eye

I would add making the entire stadium accessible and on the same level. Tired of walking up and down the damn stairs to access different parts of the park.
Extend the outfield bleachers to the batters eye. Also, get a new damn event staff. These people are so damn lame and the rules are enforced way too heavily. Let the kids have fun!

What about a hill in dead center? Could be a great college area to drink. Maybe adding crawfish pots instead of BBQ pits like State has but not sure how tough that would be. Think the stadium should be able to seat 13,000 + standing room. Just brainstorming here.

What do y’all think? I know some of y’all have some great ideas. Hopefully the new coach comes in and wants to make the ballpark the best in the country again!

No offense to Chris Reid, but everybody has these ideas. I'm sure Woodward has a TV and witnessed the atmospheres at Baum and Dudy Noble this weekend. It'll come. Best thing he can do right now is hire a coach who wins and the rest should take care of itself.

I think Chris Reid is 5 for 5.

I don't even think we need traditional seating in the outfield at all.

If you read the comments on Reid's tweet he responds to a lot of them, apparently LSU has looked into some stadium upgrades.

He said a berm in the outfield for example, was looked at and determined not to be feasible.

One simple cosmetic change is to make the outfield fence all green with white sponsor logos. The multicolored shite looks so 90s

All of these things should have been in the original build

There has to be some sort of batter’s eye back there. You know how tough it would be to hit when behind the pitcher all you see is people moving around on a hill.

That’s true. There’s still some major upgrades that need to happen but I think extending the outfield bleachers to make it all accessible to one another and walk behind the batters eye, extending suites down the lines, and then back seating down the lines is a top priority. And the bullpens as well. Gotta get to 13,000 seats some way

Seriously?

Let's make some upgrades that improve the stadium and the fan experience, BUT NOT THIS ONE.

Raise the roof and add a deck above press box and suites, from 1b to 3b. That would replace bleacher in outfield capacity. Extend roof to end of stadium with new luxury boxes all the way to foul polls.

Someone else can "decide" what to do with the outfield, but just no bleachers!

Chris Reid is welcome to donate the money necessary to complete those changes.

Otherwise, his opinion is irrelevant.

He’s a former LSU player, his opinion is actually very relevant.

I was with you on everything except this. Think of the logistical issues they’d have with this.

i call BS on this. The berm at zephyr field is 150' deep, there's space for that behind right field. Also, the terraced area behind left field in oxford is 100' deep. Again, plenty of space. These are measurements from the fence to the back of the berm or terraced area respectively.

We could import fans from Arkansas and Mississippi State to put some life in The Box

Yeah watching State last night that was wild. That place is cool with the high rise in center and mounds for spectators.
