Tigers schedule may not be as bad as it looks on the surface. This past week:
Air Force beat Wichita St. and split with #13 Arizona
Oral Roberts won two of three with Dallas Baptist (traditionally strong program)
UNO swept its four game series vs. Houston Baptist
Nicholls swept its four games series vs. SF Austin
LA Tech gave #1 Arkansas their first loss and took Friday's game to extra innings.
Youngstown St. is poo-poo. Lost four game series to Wright St.

Four game series seem ridiculous and tedious.

This is probably true, but this:

is not necessarily evidence towards that.

Wright State is a very good baseball program and pretty much owns their league.

ETA: I think Nicholls will be better than a lot of folks thought in their conference. I'm a little surprised by ORU beating Dallas Baptist. DBU kind of followed the same pattern as ORU in raising up their program, but has reach higher highs than ORU has.

Our SOS is 140 out of 302.

Arkansas is 8. Tenn is 30. State is 40. Bama is 42. Vandy is 62.

According to Warren Nolan It’s ranked 140 currently. I am not sure when it was last updated but that’s ahead of Florida and Texas Tech who are ranked in the top 10 with similar records as LSU.

It’s actually projected to be the number one strength of schedule by the end of the year. The SEC is scary good.

Oral Roberts will probably be in the tournament at the end of the season, and UTSA might as well. College baseball is very deep this season

It's all relative though. If everyone is better then no one is better if that makes sense.

It's kind of hard to figure out. You have older guys that may have moved on with life that came back because of the extra year of eligibility - some could be late bloomers and be a big impact. Then, you have guys that would have left school for pro ball but stayed back because of the shortened draft - most of these guys are a big impact. And, you have kids that came to college that would have otherwise went straight to pro ball - I'd say this is a mixed bag and the verdict is still out on most.

Didn't go back to compare but this year's schedule seemed especially soft.

Our pen scares the bajeebers out of me. And hope our young hitters don't go slumping vs the SEC pitching.

It is. Last year we had the Shriner's classic in Houston and played Oklahoma and Baylor and Texas. The year before was our series with Texas.

Without the COIVD issues it wouldn't have been as bad. A game with Notre Dame, 3 against Illinois.

We may have had a minor drop off replacing Bakersfield with Youngstown, but both of them are bad.
